On September 18, Queen Máxima attended the presentation of the report 'Performance Pressure on MBO Schools' at Albeda College in Rotterdam. The Trimbos Institute, Expertise Center for Inclusive Education, Utrecht University, and the Erasmus SYNC Lab conducted research, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, on performance pressure and stress among students in vocational education. During the event, discussions focused on mental health in vocational education and the role of performance pressure.

  1. Should have known it was Natan before I got to the end of the post! The colour is lovely and I like the concept but it's too short and looks like a crushed paper bag in the third photo. Queen Maxima deserves better!

I agree, except I’m not sure I even like the concept. This dress looks like it has a grass skirt attached to it. Lovely smile on Maxima, as usual.

Awful fabric, great color, but too short. MR

Her dress with the big bow on Prince Day was also by Natan. It was not mentionned under the pictures and nobody had comments on Natan because they didn't know. This dress I'll have to look it up on the Dutch websites, there is probably a story behind.

@Anon 07:37 Her gown with the big bow on Prince Day was by Claes Iversen, not Natan, according to at least 2 reputable fashion sites.

Oh Queen Maxima, you've done it again. This dress is adorable, perfect length and hangs beautifully on the Queen. Love the matching shoes and clutch. She kept it simple without overpowering jewelry. My only quibble is the fabric of the dress seems stiff, of a bit wrinkled, but not much. Over all very cute!

I fully agree. Natan uses odd fabrics quite frequently, and this fabric is not the best. I am sure they could have chosen something that didn't wrinkle so easily. Otherwise, I love the look.

    2. In my view this dress fits perfectly to Maxima, she can make it. The dress is to be seen as a "whole" ; with some lighter fabric it would not make the same effect. Well done. It would however have deserved better hair.

This is not a nice dress; the color is good. Horribly wrinkly, maybe the fabric should be this way? It looks like Maxima slept in it. css

Great color for Queen Maxima! However, this dress is awful--the feathers are dreadful and the hemline is too short. Not sure why she added the scarf/shawl when she only wore it on her shoulder--also the greens clash. Also the neck area of the bodice looks odd--not sure what's causing the wrinkled or bunchy look but it's not helping.

I love a lot about this dress - the colour, the crinkly fabric (yes), the simplicity of the design and the shawl that goes with. However...if it was to be worn for a daytime event which required front row seating in full public view, I'd have preferred it to be slightly longer, and with a little less embellishment at the bottom. Worn as above, it would be perfect for an 'afternoon into evening' schedule, and cocktail function.
It's a fun dress for sure, and is worn by the perfect person for it.

  8. I am not keen on the design of this dress, but my goodness she certainly puts a spark in and brightens up the day. The color of the dress is glorious. Shame the fabric is crushed, I am assuming it is silk?

Hmmm, nice colour. That is the only good part!
Saw some other photos, I believe she’s wearing a giant fly ring & some sort of snail Earrings??
There’s no one like Maxima - one of a kind lol. She keeps it interesting & I love watching her fashion choices.

  13. Q. Maxima looks cute. I'm not really a fan of the dress, it looks like a sack but I like the feather? trim and I like the matching shoes. It was a fair attempt at a fun look.

On the Dutch websites I only found that the dress is supposed to wrinkle ! The original design was shorter, so this version is not too short in my opinion. Longer would not be beautiful. The feathers at the hemline are not feathers but thin leather straps. I wonder if this dress was not a test case for another dress. In the past sometimes Natan made first a dress in a technical fabric, the leather feathers could have been sewed very quickly to the hemline to see better the result. I am not saying that it happen that way, but it could be.

  17. La couleur verte de cette robe originale lui sied à merveille ; je ne suis pas du tout fan des boucles d'oreilles qui font trop fantaisie !

  19. This dress is terribly wrinkled and it looks like a garbage bag with fringe on the bottom. She can get it right a lot but not this time.
