On the evening of Friday, September 13, 2024, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands attended the Opening Night 2024 of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra at Nelson Mandela Park in Amsterdam. The free open-air concert takes place in a different district of the city each year. Dutch Queen Máxima is the patron of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Prior to the concert, the Queen met with members of the Leerorkest, former participants of the Concertgebouw Orchestra Young, and several orchestra musicians.

Her hair looks perfectly lovely. There is no reason for her to stop wearing it down. As for the makeup, it is an evening event. This has come up in the past. Makeup is heavier in the evening. I agree with you about her wearing Max Mara. We can almost always tell when she is not in Natan and she looks better for it. I think she looks beautiful here in this simple and chic outfit.

DeleteWell, well Queen Maxima's make-up is too heavy and Queen Mathilde's lipstick is too pale. One can always find something to criticize. It depends on the Queen. Some can wear any make-up or lipstick and it is always oh and ah, even if they too sometimes are looking less good than the day before. Lucky for Queen Mathilde she is smart and intelligent and she doesn't get influenced by those who think they know always better. Lucky too for Queen Maxima whose happy and joyfull character influences her choice of clothes. Sometimes one can see she must have been in a hurry in the morning but she never looses her smile and her friendly words to the people who are waiting for her arrival.

DeleteI presume in California there are other ladies with dark hair too. The rats who have eaten the ends of the extensions ? Her own hair is very thin especially the ends, maybe it are not extensions after all, or they are placed elsewhere under her hair.
Delete@18:50 There is a segment of commenters here that have a problem with extensions. They can't understand that the royal women from all countries have worn hair pieces, wigs or extensions for centuries. Of course, if their hair doesn't look thick, lush and perfectly styled, they don't look "royal enough". Some always need something to complain about.
DeleteYour presumption is correct. There are many, many brunettes in California. For the uneducated above, beach waves are what happens to the hair when you are at the beach, you get your hair wet in the ocean, and the salt water in your hair emphasizes your natural curls (if you have them) when your hair air dries. It happens to brunettes as well! Of course, the look doesn't come close to Maxima's hair.

ReplyDeleteEr zitten hier een paar rare mensen in dit blog. Wat had je dan liever gehad dat zij bruine tanden had, geen make-up droeg en met een onverzorgd kapsel te voorschijn kwam, want dan zou jij de eerste persoon geweest zijn die weer eens afgunstig commentaar leverde.
DeleteHer hair looks tidy today, and make-up and pearls are great. The outfit, however, looks like a judge´s court robe. I would have gone for something more visible. The night literally swallows up her black outfit.
ReplyDeleteIt was not completely dark when she sat on one of the tables with the young student musicians, one can see the green of the trees and the colors of the clothes worn by the people around her. She was not the only one who wore black and white. Since the opening night of the Royal Concert Gebouw 2024 was outside she needed a coat to wear when it was getting colder. It hasn't been warm any more lately, cold at night under 10 degrees C and sunny during the day t° around 15-17 degrees C and wind from the north-east which is always cold.
