Queen Máxima arrived in New York for the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). On September 23, Queen Máxima attended a series of high-level meetings with representatives of governments and development organizations to discuss progress on financial inclusion and financial health. In the afternoon, the Queen opened the event, 'Resilient Futures: Bridging the Protection Gap to Achieve Global Financial Health,' hosted by news agency Devex and insurer AXA.

2024 marks the Queen's fifteenth year as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA). To mark this milestone, on Wednesday, September 25, a special event will be held at the UN in the presence of Heads of State, senior UN officials, leaders of international organizations, and the private sector.

      The suit is perfect and the wide legged trousers much more elegant than the photo of the model. Shoes are fab too. Great that she can continue to use her financial expertise in this way

    I love the colour of the outfit and I love the jacket, but I've never been a fan of these wide legged trousers that we see so much of. If you're tall and long-legged like Maxima or Mathilde, you can probably carry them well. On another subject, kudos once more to Maxima for the kind of work she is doing.

    Q. Maxima the beautiful blonde queen who is looking smashing in this beautiful wine colored pant suit. She looks so good!! Don't you know that she would take your breath away if you met her in person and yet it seems that she puts everyone at ease.

      Queen Maxima is smartly dressed for the occasion and she is a lady who is smart in the head.
      For 15 years now she has held an important position in the UN.
      This beautiful Queen is not just a pretty face.

      Anything positive or nice to add? I find comments like these really uncomfortable: purely negative, adding nothing to a conversation. Let’s be a bit more generous, eh! As for me, I find Maxima charming and full of generous positivity and would love to be in such a meeting listening to her comments and knowledge. This colour suits her beautifully. - Grace

      Grace, you know nothing about her personally. You have no idea what kind of person she really is. All you see is that she smiles alot, sometimes wears nice clothes, and sometimes takes the time to do or have her hair done well. However, most of the time her hair looks like she just got out of bed and didn't even run a comb or brush through it. I agree with the first Anon comment. Her hair is messy and unhealthy looking. While this is a nice color, the trousers are too wide.

    Ohhh my, this colour is absolutely gorgeous! Perfect for Fall and very becoming. I like the tailoring a lot, even with these wide-legged pants, which give the look a certain flow.
    Maxima seems such a nice person, always so engaged and interested. It must be so nice to meet her in person.

    La couleur est différente selon les photos, difficile de savoir laquelle est vraie.
    Si son ensemble est violet cassis comme sur la première photo : j'adore.
    Mais s'il est plutôt rouge bordeaux j'aime beaucoup moins.
    Quelqu'un parle de son nouveau style de coiffure, mais je ne vois pas de changement. Paloma.
