    Q. Mathilde looks wonderful in all of these dresses. The Erdem is a softer look, the Row quite bold. My favourite is the red Safiyaa. It’s such a sleek and modern silhouette. (V.M.)

Sadly, I do not think the Erdem is flattering to Queen Mathilde's figure. She's too short-waisted for that style. But like Quen Maxima, she does like the bold statement pieces.

It is an old dress of Erdem that Queen Mathilde took with her to New York. Personally I don't like the dresses of Erdem on anyone. But the queen seems to like this dress which she wore on several occasions. Maybe she is feeling comfortable in it.

You cannot compare Queen Maxima's style with Queen Mathilde's.

What great look for Q Mathilde. I like all the dresses, but the pink one is dramatic, I love it. The red one is a stunner. Hope everyone on pics 9 and 13 have any kind of experience with the cause to share with the panel. Also nice to see Malala there.

The Fold dress is similar to a Roksanda dress worn by Sophie then Wessex. But this is at a lower price point.
It seems our royal ladies are branching out in Fold ensembles.
I like the Erdem,I just don’t love it.
The red Saffiyaa dress is a perfect style for QM shape. The color is also very flattering.

Fabulous looks from Queen Mathilde! All 3 dresses are beautiful and she looks beautiful in all 3. She looks stunning in the red Safiyaa dress--I hope she has this more than one color!

I prefer the Safiyaa dress. It must be a brand that makes dresses with a perfect cut, when you see all the different types of women who can wear this brand : CP Elisabeth, Sarah Ferguson, CP Amalia, Queen Mathilde, .....

The Safiyaa fashion house is a young-ish British fashion house that has seen as their clients, amongst others, The Duchess of Sussex and Michelle Obama.
An informative article in Vogue gives information and some photos of their work.

  11. I am sure she melted some hearts with that beautiful and engaging smile. Photo no. 4 and no.5 is like an ad out of a magazine. Do you think that the people she is talking to on the streets know that they are talking to a real life Queen. It is nice to see Prince Harry involved as well. All of the dresses are lovely!

One picture doesn't explain everything. If she really was talking to people on the street, it was on her way to the NGO Fountain House in Manhattan (maybe in front of the building and to people who has been informed who they were going to see and for what purpose). What the Fountain House stand for has been explained in one of the explanations under some pictures.

Lovely dresses for QM. The red is my favorite. I love the kind encounter with PH. I also like PMabel’s dress. It would even be nicer if a bit longer. Like somebody else mentioned before. I hope they all know what they are talking about and take effective measures together with countries around the world. Prime minister De Croo probably there to score an international job.

Did you think that Queen Mathilde was alone there ? There is probably a team of Belgians who accompanied the queen. It is not the first time that Prime Minister Alexander De Croo is visiting a UN top. There are other pictures of this top on the website of Belgian Foreign Affairs, I saw another Belgian minister or state secretary whose name I can't remember who was there. The head of the WHO who hosted the dinner was there, Princess Mabel of The Netherlands who is also a regular visitor of UN meetings was there. Even Prince Harry was there. All people who have contacts with other people of different organizations and countries. And last but not least Queen Mathilde herself who went several times to Africa, Asia, herself as a SDG advocate for the UN and as a respresentative of Belgian projects in these countries. Her sister in law Princess Astrid is going on behalf of King Philippe on economic trips abroad together with people of Belgian Foreign Affairs. In November she will leading an economic mission to Brasil. All people who talk to each other and gather their conclusions to help in new projects in all the countries who need help because they cannot do it alone, or because they do not have the knowledge or financial means to bring it to a good end themselves.

What an odd reaction. Anon didn’t say anything about all the other people, just the ones on the pictures. And by the way the UN may bring good things but are often also discussed about their effectiveness.

If you have interesting information on people who were not on this picture ( I named one), you are free and more than welcome to write down what you think is important. It is always easy to point out big organizations of what they did not. At least they did the effort to try. Especially when it concerns abuse of women and children all over the world. Isn't it sad that in 2024 there are still children who are the victims of very bad people. You or me we cannot bring good things because we do not have the means and the money. Only kings and queens, princes(ses), high placed person can use their influence and money to change something.

  16. The Erdem dress is gorgeous, I especially like the pale pink throw scarf round her shoulders, and the pink clutch, color of her shoes, perfect. The fold dress she wears well, she has the height to wear this beautifully. The red cherry dress, looks superb. Love the style and shape, suits her beautifully, the red accessories, Yes! She is a class act, a very humble and elegant Queen, I think she is fantastic!

I agree. Queen Mathilde together with Queen Maxima is the most friendly queen of this era. They both have always a smile on their face. They go to the people to say hello. Queen Mathilde especially goes to the children if they are around. People appreciate that.
