On September 4, 2024, Queen Mary of Denmark attended The Carlsberg Foundation’s annual gala dinner and 2024 Research Awards ceremony at the New Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen. Professor Rubina Raja and Professor Jesper Qualmann Svejstrup were awarded the Carlsberg Foundation’s Research Prizes for 2024. The prizes were presented by Queen Mary and Danish Minister for Education and Research Christina Egelund during a ceremony at the New Carlsberg Glyptotek.
Professor Rubina Raja received the prize for her extensive archaeological studies, which span from urban communities and networks in the ancient world to iconography in the oasis city of Palmyra. Professor Jesper Qualmann Svejstrup was awarded the prize for his groundbreaking research into the molecular 'machine' that transcribes our genes.
What a lovely dress, nice colour, fits well. I prefer this type of skirt to form fitting.

حذفThat's a beautiful dress and Mary wears is well, as to be expected. My only comment is whether it is formal (or 'special') enough for an evening Gala dinner honoring such learned accomplishments by learned people. Her look seems too casual and if anything, more suited to a daytime lunch event. A simple dark coloured dress (of which Mary has many) would, I think, have been more fitting and appropriate.

Although the occasion is not a black tie event, it is, however, the gala, annual dinner of the Carlsberg Foundation.
Leaving that question apart, the dress is superb and worn well by Queen Mary.
It is a good example of what can come out of an Australian fashion house.

ردحذفUnusual to see Mary wear a dress like this without a belt. Maybe she found out it got a little too much to add a belt to almost any outfit - probably to create a waist.
