Princess Mafalda of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, the daughter of Prince Gustav and Princess Carina of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, was baptized in the chapel of Berleburg Castle in Germany. Princess Mafalda has six godparents: Princess Marie, Prince Philippos, Prince Philipp, Hereditary Prince Christian, Princess Kelly, and Baroness Helle.
On this occasion, the Danish Royal Court has released two official photos taken after the baptism of Princess Mafalda. Prince Gustav and Princess Carina have two children. The couple's son, Prince Gustav Albrecht, was born on 26 May 2023 in the United States. On 26 April 2024, the couple welcomed their second child, Princess Mafalda.
