Crown Princess Elisabeth has started her Master's degree in Public Policy at Harvard University (Harvard Kennedy School) in Cambridge. Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Belgian Royal Court released new photos of the Crown Princess taken at Harvard. As the first-born child, Princess Elisabeth is first in the line of succession to the throne. Since 21 July 2013, Elisabeth has held the title of Duchess of Brabant, a title reserved for the presumptive heir.
In 2020, Princess Elisabeth obtained her International Baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College in Wales. In July 2021, she completed her year in Social and Military Sciences at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium. She swore the officers' oath on 26 September 2023, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in three branches of the Belgian Armed Forces. In July 2024, she obtained a bachelor's degree in History and Politics at Lincoln College, a college of Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
She has such an easy and approachable way about her. She’s wearing the standard student uniform which looks good on her. I hope I run in to her in Cambridge! MR
ReplyDeleteShe looks sooo happy; nowonder why; Harvard, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI love jeans with wider legs; they are so comfortable to wear.
The wide (or extra wide legs) is the point I don't really like in her choice.

DeleteEvery young woman of her age is wearing their jeans this way. Besides the brand is Tommy Hilfiger (an American brand).
Us have been told that CP Elisabeth started at Harvard Kennedy School in Boston not in Cambridge. A Belgian fan.
ReplyDeleteHarvard University is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, not Boston. DIQ
DeleteHarvard is not in Boston, it is indeed in Cambridge, just across the river from Boston.
Delete20 minutes between Boston and Harvard University. Alfonso XIII and others are right.
DeleteCongratulations to Elisabeth, the whole country must be proud of her!
ReplyDeleteShe is looking good. Lucky the sun is shining on her for her first days at a new university. So proud of our princess, such a hard worker. She never took a sabbatical year, while she could have. I wish her all the luck she might need in this new challenge. But I am confident that she will achieve this new goal with great success.
ReplyDeleteA very bright and intelligent young woman. Hopefully, the press, etc., will allow her to have as "normal" as possible tenure with her studies and she can make some new friends and "kick up her heels" :-) a bit and have some fun a long the way.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%
DeleteBien dans sa tête et ses bottes
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
Her best pics so far.

Wonderfull pictures of an easy going girl who happens to be the next monarch of Belgium
ReplyDeleteI admire her respect for education. One day her time will come to rule, and she can hand on heart say,she studied hard and participated in the services she’ll be commander-in-chief of.
ReplyDeleteShe and Lenor of Spain both studious in approaching their destiny.
I wish Elisabeth well in her studies.
Lowri.
Casual but nice. Hope she won't be bothered there and has her privacy. css
ReplyDelete99% of the people around her won't even know who she is, so she should be undisturbed. Since the USA is a republic, they don't have much interest in royalty - except for a very few who follow the scandals of the BRF. Outside of Harvard, few would even know where Belgium is if shown a blank map of Europe.

DeleteThe people around her are also students who were allowed to study at Harvard. So, I think these are intelligent people who know more than the average American. It is true that Americans do not know much about geography. They do not know that Belgium is a country and that Brussels is the capital. Those who studied a bit know that European Headquarters of NATO are in Brussels, but they think that Brussels is a country near France. Only the old people who are almost all past away by now and who came to Belgium to liberate us, together with the English, Scotts and Canadian soldiers they know where Belgium is. Ask them about Bastogne, they know where it is. The average American is not interested in kings and queens, except those maybe who are specialized in history in general.
Elisabeth looks beautiful in these pictures I feel sure she graciously agreed to pose for--casual and typically dressed for a university student (undergraduate or graduate). Now I hope the media will leave her alone to enjoy herself and pursue her degree.

She looks radiant, so happy I wish her every success.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely perfect on campus look.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. Beauty and brains!! Love, love. I echo those who say she looks approachable.
ReplyDeleteI’ll be going to her alma mater for my PhD.
T
J'espère que l'ambiance dans cette université lui conviendra afin de poursuivre sereinement ses études !
ReplyDeleteI never heard there were problems with photographers when she was in Oxford, U.K. I assume these pictures has been made in agreement with the press on condition to leave her in peace as much as possible. I think we will see other pictures now and than, maybe if she should participate in a sports competition.
ReplyDeleteThe photographer of the pictures of CP Elisabeth is known. It is a fellow student who is going for the same master as she does. Belgian newspaper "Het Laatste Nieuws" showed a picture of him. Even if he does not get his master degree, he can still become a photographer. He made beautiful photo's of the princess and she probably sent them home. Because it was the Belgian Palace who shared them on social media.
