The 4 athletes of each team take turns at sea over a distance of 180 kilometers. This charity sports challenge aims to reach Monaco from Calvi in the shortest possible time by water bike. Beyond the sporting performance, this event aims to raise awareness about drowning prevention, water safety, and raise funds.

  1. The perfect combination of black short sleeve top and white pants I am sure must help to stay cool for this "la di da" occasion. Princess Charlene always looks perfect in a paired down and simple way!

Chic and classy in a tshirt and white jeans. Earrings are very nice and of course a lovely belt to complete the outfit. She is in her element out doors.

I only he dressed himself in a better way. He should not wear tight T-shirts or polo's and shorts. White or beige summer trousers with a classic plain shirt in a dark color (eventually with short sleeves) would be much more elegant for him.

JJ as much as I try not to comment here with anything that I wouldn’t comment direct to someone’s face, I agree that Albert should get going on health, for his sake and that of his young family. I guess he hears it all the time from his athlete wife ? and doesn’t need to hear it from us, but its hard not to see a big tummy in a tight white shirt. - Grace

Prince Rainier his father wasn't exactly thin either, but that should not be a reason for Albert not to go on a diet. But if he inherited it from his father it will not be easy for him to have enough courage to achieve a certain result.

Charlène est très jolie en tenue bicolore. J'aime beaucoup l'association noir et blanc, c'est simple et chic. Impeccable. J'adore ses lunettes de soleil. Paloma.

  7. Agree with you jj. He has definitely put on weight recently and it is very noticeable when he's in sporting gear as opposed to wearing a jacket. He's got a beautiful wife and two gorgeous children. Monaco needs him fit and healthy. Princess Charlene looking great!

    1. Hello AnnieM : My concern is not about how he looks, but about his health.
He looks to be carrying a couple of kilos more than recommended for a man of his age.
He probably doesn’t have much time available for gym workouts.
His life is certainly a cocktail of long hours of work, stress, quick ‘on-the-go’ meals and minimum sleep.
At his age, that spells ‘danger’ (burning the candle at both ends).
I hope he's in the exception and can avoid the classic medical problems associated with men of his age and their workload.

    2. Hi, Deadeggs. I agree with you. I'd say health first too but how he looks matters for anyone in the public eye. As said by others above, the sports outfits are not flattering, but he doesn't have to wear them! Carrying substantial extra weight in your 60s is no good for anyone. He's been a strong leader for Monaco for nearly 20 years. Hopefully, he'll be there for another 20--at least!

From Australia-we have no connection but beautiful wife -beautiful children & he is not looking after his health & appearance. Lose weight -better choice of clothing -who on earth is buying his wardrobe?- bigger shirts & tops -darker colours.

Love, love, love Charlene's super chic look! Absolutely perfect for the occasion and summertime. As for the comments on Albert's physique and needing to diet--rude and presumptuous. It's called fat-shaming and I think its mean.

      To Janet.
We are living in a world were people are recommended every day to look better after themselves than before. Watch out what you eat and
what you drink, move more, count you steps. If you cannot do much sports at least try to walk every day at least one hour,.... I don't understand that he cannot consult a serious MD who can advise him what to do. He is his own boss. You are not going to tell me that he cannot spend one hour every day to do an effort for his health condition. He is living in the South of Europe where the Mediterranean diet is known for its healthy nutrients : lots of vegetables, olive oil, grilled fish and meat. We all know (and now I am gonna be attacked that I dare to talk about what's following) that drinking much wine (or beer) is a big source of calories, also drinking to much coca-cola and other soft drinks that contain too much sugar is not healthy for someone who must loose weight. It is not because he is a prince that one may not talk about the fact that he is not looking after himself. He is the president of all the different sport clubs that exist in Monaco. He is not a good example if you see him in the middle of a group of sportsmen/sportswomen like now with the crossing Calvi-Monaco. He is not a good example for his children and for the Monegask youth.

As is always pointed out this is a fashion blog. We’re told constantly to keep our comments strictly to the fashion rather than the person.
I doubt Prince Albert reads royal blogs, but if he did,how terribly hurtful to have a group of strangers discuss his physical appearance.
We should have faith that he,I’m sure has access to the very best expert doctors dieticians. They are one’s advice he should heed,if he so chooses to.Maybe we should stick to the fashion element as we’re regularly told to do.

      @ Anon. 9/9 00:59
If he is so weak he cannot be confronted with the truth, the first thing he has to do is dress himself in wider T-shirts and polo-shirts (and that is related to fashion) and not standing in the middle of each team of good looking men who are participating at a sports event. Doesn't he is confronted with his pictures in the news papers (sport pages)? If people talk about fashion automatically your body type is discussed too. I know of myself what I can wear and what I cannot wear. And if I am in a fashion boutique and I want to try on a dress or pants and the lady who keeps the shop tells me this or that is not a good idea for me because it won't fit, I can accept that. Nobody is perfect. The art is drawing the attention on your qualities and hide or try not to draw the attention on your body parts which are less attractive (everything that is fashion is not always good for me or you, the art is picking out the things that suit you).

  12. Hello Anon 00:59. I hear what you say and yes, it is a fashion blog.
Sometimes we go off topic and make a lot of noise about a person and not about fashion.
Perhaps this time we could be forgiven a little as Albert of Monaco is a much loved and respected Prince. The principality love and need him and the Grimaldi family love and need him. His wife and family love and need him.
He is the underpinning pillar of Monaco and the Grimaldi family.
Perhaps just a few more nice Mediterranean salads would help the situation. 🥗
