On Saturday, September 7, King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the Braemar Gathering at the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Braemar, Scotland, to watch the Highland Games. The Braemar Gathering is one of the most prominent and well-attended of all the Highland Games, traditionally held on the first Saturday of September. The event has been run in its present form since 1832.
Une robe aux jolis motifs que Camilla a portée à différentes reprises mais cette sorte de bibi lui irait bien mieux sans cette plume ; j'adore voir Charles quand il est vêtu d'un kilt !
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Charles and Camilla enjoying each other's company
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasure to see King Charles and Queen Camilla looking beautiful and happy. Flattering outfit - stylish cut and good color on the Queen. By the way where is Princess Catherine?

DeleteThe Princess of Wales has been at Balmoral and was at church at Crathie a couple of weeks ago. She may have returned south now as most English schools have returned for the autumn term.
DeleteThis re-wear looks even better with the beret and the feather, which reflects the fabric pattern, and elevates the overall look. I love it.
ReplyDeleteCharles and Camilla always look their happiest when in Scotland.

Great comment, you have said it nicely. I have nothing to add!
DeleteWhat a well thought out outfit! And it's in blue, which always works for QC.
ReplyDeleteI was a great defender of Lady Di, but these two have shown us time and again that they truly love and complement each other. Is such a warm sight to see them looking/smiling at each other so tenderly

I totally agree. Feel the same.
DeleteKing Charles has always looked wonderful in his kilts.
ReplyDeleteCharles and Camilla look very at ease with each other. I like Camilla’s hat, it looks jaunty on her. Her dress pattern is a bit busy, but she can pull it off.

She very likely chose the dress (instead of wearing tartan this time) because of the feather theme. The feather is one of the symbols of the Braemar Highland Games. The late QE II very often wore the Braemar Feather Brooch when attending.
DeleteLove the final photo king and queen so happy. Whatever they’re wearing pales into being fairly insignificant in the light of the real joy, the best fashion asset any of us can carry! - Grace
ReplyDeleteCamilla is wearing a beautiful dress, but what's even nicer to see is that both of them are obviously very happy in each other's company.
ReplyDeleteDear Mary, Your remark is incomprehensible. Princess Catherine is undergoing post operation chemotherapy, possibly radiation, and is very ill. Every time you see her, she receives special makeup for patients in this situation, possibly also other medical support. You obviously have no idea what it means to undergo HEAVY cancer treatment but you could at least be respectful.

What wonderful photos of the King and Queen!. They look so happy, enjoying time together. I love Queen Camilla's outfit and that hat is fabulous. KCIII looks great in his kilt--he always has and I love that he wears kilts in Scotland as did his father. Really wish William would but I guess he's decided against the tradition.

Nice look for Q Camilla. css
ReplyDeleteI really like the fabric of this dress with the small hat with feathers. It feels like a wink to the Braemar Games. I wish they'd used a darker facing as I don't like the contrast under the collar. A sewist's peeve I guess.
