Denmark's King and Queen Host Dinner for the Officers of the Royal Yacht Dannebrog

On September 11, 2024, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark officially disembarked from the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, thus formally concluding this year's summer sailing season. In the evening, the King and Queen hosted a dinner (Strygemiddag) for the officers of the Royal Yacht Dannebrog at Christian VII's Palace, Amalienborg. Queen Margrethe accompanied the King and Queen at the dinner. The dinner (Strygemiddag) marks the end of summer and is a traditional year-end farewell ceremony for the crew of Dannebrog.

    Great and well-fitted suit with a pretty scarf to accent Queen Mary's ponytail. Very polished and chic look today. Mary is gorgeous on this Erdem gown--haven't seen it in quite a while and it's still a stunner. The silk is beautiful and the colors are perfect on Mary. A very elegant look and her updo is fabulous! How great to see Queen Margrethe --I love this gown on her and the blue wrap is gorgeous--bet her blue eyes are really sparkling with this blue close to her face. Feeling some major envy for that wrap!

      The ERDEM gown is beautiful.
      Erdem Moralıoğlu has become famous for his dark floral prints.
      If you can pick up a photo of him on the net, you will see that he is a 47 year old young, good looking man. Hmmmmm.

    Pretty dress, absolutely.
    But I admire the pant suit. It´s the perfect cut and fit. Full length trousers with a straight leg! I am happy to see the cropped and skinny fashion disappear. It´s been a decade of cringe for me.

    Mary looks wonderfully elegant.
    I like the fit and cut of her pantsuit. Very flattering. I like the way she has used silk scarf on her ponytail, different and fun use of the scarf. Also an anchor brooch with her navy pantsuit match perfectly.
    Her dress looks also lovely. Bright colors look great on her. And her updo looks very pretty.

    Très beau tailleur-pantalon qui lui va bien et j'aime aussi la coiffure avec le foulard, c'est très élégant et on voit rarement ce style : c'est très joli pour les femmes qui ont la chance d'avoir de beaux cheveux. Paloma.

    I LOVE both looks. The pant suit is perfection and you know Q. Mary will use both pieces for different looks and the beautiful gown, the colors are just gorgeous!! She knows that classic looks work beautifully for decades to come.

    Yes I must agree the only time the King looks stylish in his close, is when he wears his formal uniform. Usually he looks quite scruffy, something is always not quite right on him.

    The trouser suit is smart and functional with perfect length trousers--like Vanessa the end of cropped 'half mast' trousers would be cause for celebration.
    Love the dress. Gorgeous colours and a prefect fit.

    The Navy trouser suit is beautiful, stylish and smart, fits well. The gown, is stunning, what a beautiful ensemble. She looks stunning. Love her hair styled in this way.
