  1. Au cours de cette célébration annuelle, je peux admirer le look de la princesse Sophie qui a su raccourcir ses cheveux tout en gardant les ondulations ; très élégant son modèle de robe imprimé dont le tissu est rafraîchissant en cette période estivale !

I don't like Princess Sophie's hair like that. In the 1980-s I had the same hairstyle for a short period. We called it an Afro hair style.
    Love her Max Mara dress.

That is not any where near what an Afro looks like, she has beautiful curly hair and she looks great, Rem

These are not natural curls. Earlier this year I saw pictures of her when her hair had no curls at all.

    3. I think that's her natural hair with a little bit help of a curler. She looks very good. What a modern and beautiful dress. The whole family looks nicely dressed.

    4. Anon at 07:01, have you ever heard of a straightening iron?

@ These are "Permanent" curls. Of course if your hair curls easy, you will keep the curls longer than someone with straight hair. It would be very unwise of her to use a straightening iron in a couple of days to get rid of the curls (very bad for your hair).

Your comment is disturbing. I have natural curls as well and I went back to look at Sophie’s pictures over a various period, she definitely has natural curls. With better products and methods (curly girl etc) available, more and more women embrace their natural locks.
The structure of my hair is quite similar to Sophie’s and I can assure you, its very versatile. I don’t need a straightening iron, a brush and a hair dryer will do the job. I can wear my hair in many ways, very curly, wavy or straightened. This is what Sophie’s doing.
Her royal highness has all the rights to wear her hair beautifully like this.

HP Sophie looks so wonderful with her natural curls. Finally a royal lady showing her hair not straightened. As someone with curls myself (and being very much proud of and happy about it) I applaude her!

Nice look for Sophie. This time at least Josef Wenzel was there to. Their daughter is a beautiful young woman, either Georg or Nicholas was there too. Several of the other members have also joined in Rudolf and Tilsim w/children I believe I seen Tatiana with husband one daughter also Angela not sure of Alfons, Nicholas and Maria Annunciate Great turn out. It seems Hans Adam never changes neither does Alois. It was a beautiful sunny National Day in Liechtenstein. Lots of pics on the Liechtenstein Forum. Enjoy. css

    1. So good to see a rare reportage on the princely family of Liechtenstein.
Along with the Duke of Braganza and the princely family in Portugal, they are my two favourite monarchical families.
They never make any waves and, I understand, both are very “catholic” families.
Princess Sophie always has a beautiful smile and I just love her new hairdo.
I agree with @Just Me, 07:47, that her dress is both modern and beautiful.
You know, I’ve got quite a few photos of Prince Alois that I’ve cut out and pasted in my scrapbook.
My heart skips a beat or two when I see him.

Nice to see the photos of this family. As someone with poker straight hair, I’ve always been envious of those with curls and think Sophie looks brilliant. For those, like myself, who criticise the length of dresses worn by the Duchess of Edinburgh, it’s interesting to see similar lengths worn by the majority of women here

I think it may come back to what we have been talking about over the last couple of days, that is, social standing and fashion, especially dress lengths.

Don't forget that Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein is taller than Duchess Sophie of Edinburgh. Besides her dress does not reach her ankles which is often the case with Duchess Sophie. Proportions are very important, more than social standing.

Sophie’s curly hair looks pretty and youthful on her. I like the pattern on her dress.

It’s a nice dress, but the color doesn’t suit the princess. It makes her look drab.

Nice to see pictures from this event, this royal family rarely makes the news. Not terribly fond of some of the dresses, but these is a sense of unity between the choices they made.
