Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the 81st Venice International Film Festival held at the Lido of Venice, Italy. The couple met with representatives on Friday at the Belgian-Luxembourg stand 'The Center of Attraction' and later at the 'Venice Production Bridge' evening event. The 81st Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia and held on the Lido di Venezia from 28 August to 7 September 2024.

DeleteOh dear...this dress has possibilities but not as worn. The black bow/tie is dreadful and needs to go--it is absolutely awful on MT and is so unflattering. Next, the deep v-neck is too much for her. MT should have had that detail altered to be less revealing. Sorry, call me old fashioned but that neckline is inappropriate for anything but a private occasion for a lady in MT's position. The colors of the dress/gown are marvelous for her and she is glowing. I can't really say too much about the dress itself because the awful black thing makes it impossible to judge more about the fit or overall look on her. It appears to be a caftan--very much favored by MT.

DeleteAh those two love birds. I like her dress and I know some will say it is too revealing but compared to the slinky slip dresses some royals wear this is very modest. Colours are good on her and the black sash/tie gives a slimming element. Curious as why the king removed his tie, it coordinated with the dress well.

DeleteThis flowery dress with the plunging neckline is terribly unflattering and if the Grand Duchess were younger, I would assume that she is pregnant. Incredible look.

MT is very photogenic but I struggle to appreciate most of her clothing choices. This outfit for example would look great worn at the pool over a swimsuit. (V.M.)

DeleteHe always looked handsome when he was a young man before he got married and than as a young husband and father and now as an older man. Now that he is getting older too he looks more and more like his mother GD Joséphine Charlotte. At the end of her life she was very thin due to illness, but when she was younger she was a beautiful princess.

ReplyDeleteCette robe est sans doute très agréable à porter (sûrement en soie) mais l'immense noeud noir gâche tout. Sur certaines photos les boucles d'oreilles ressemblent à des cocardes, c'est un peu bizarre.

Sur les photos où le Grand-Duc a enlevé sa cravate je trouve qu'il ressemble à l'acteur autrichien Karlheinz Böhm (quand celui-ci était jeune), il a le même regard et la même coiffure dans certains films des années 50-60. Paloma
ReplyDeleteIl ressemble surtout à sa maman la Princesse Joséphine Charlotte de Belgique et aussi pendant des années la Grande Duchesse, qui était une belle femme quand elle était jeune.

The dress is okay, but the black heavy bow I don't like. Her hair looks fabulous, love the subtle streaks, suits her well, she suits short hair, I just love it. She is very photogenic.

DeleteAnd the results we see are often a disappointment. I repeat what I’ve said many times, that is, she tries too hard. If she would just keep it simple and forget about trying to make fashion statements, she would be on a winner.
Not her best look. Maybe she needs someone to help her with what to wear and look her best. css
