The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making a four-day visit to Colombia at the invitation of Colombian Vice President, Francia Márquez. On August 15, 2024, Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez welcomed the Duke and Duchess at her official residence in Bogota. Then, the Duke and Duchess visited a school in Bogota and participated in a summit on creating a healthier digital landscape. The Duke and Duchess also visited the Delia Zapata Olivella National Arts Center in Bogota.

DeleteThe navy blue pantsuit looks good on Meghan but the overexposure of her shoulders seems out of place for this more formal occasion. (I am looking at how others are dressed in the photos above.) As for Meghan’s dress, better save that one for the next beach party! It fits her well and she looks great but it is totally wrong for the occasion.

DeleteIf Queen Letizia is showing her shoulders at the Olympic Games (black bodice and embroided midi skirt by Dior for the dinner on the first evening). For the opening ceremony (in the rain) she wore a black and white dress with the same neckline as Meghan's dress. Queen Letizia received plenty of good comments, nobody said she could not wear a dress on an occasion like that. No one else wore a dress like that at the opening ceremony. But yes there are only 3 noble ladies who cannot do wrong.

Wow! I love the Veronica Beard vest and pants! This is something I would wear myself. It is a clean and chic outfit that really looks great on her. It hits the perfect note of business casual in a warm climate. The Johanna Ortiz maxi dress, a designer she has worn before, is really beautiful. The colors are so warm and rich. I think the shoes are the perfect compliment. Ortiz is a native of Columbia, and has studied fashion design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, New York and Paris. This was a very nice choice for her first day.

There are plenty of other places where the daily activities of the royals are discussed. It is probably a balance between what to post about Anne when an event is interesting or important, but the clothes are the same we have seen several times over the decades. You are using this space to express your personal bias against Meghan, not to discuss royal fashion. If you really cared about Anne, you would have gushed about her on her birthday post, as others have pointed out, and ignored this post.

Because of its altitude the temperature can be chilly at times.
Maybe a shawl or light jacket could be needed at night.

All of the young royals are wearing their clothes more than once, sometimes after 10 or more years. On the other hand all of the royals (young and older) are taking airplanes and helicopters to visit a town or a region that easily can be reached by train i.e. If they have to go to a place on the other side of the world (to assist at a conference where they preach about the climate and the measurements that should be taken to save the planet) they have to take an airplane. Don't you think "the world is suffering from all-encompassing thoughtless consume... that suffocate the earth everywhere .... not only in the third world. Anne may be an icon but she or nobody else can change things for something much better and valuable than fashion or useless travelling around the world. Not to speak about the people who earn their monthly salary in the sector of fashion and long distance travelling .....
She might be, but this is a fashion blog. So to hear about all the good things you believe Anne is going, go to one of the blogs that cover her… if there are any. If there aren’t it suggests there is not enough interest. LRB

DeleteLe prince Harry a probablement payé (partiellement ?) lui même pour leur securité. Ce qu'il a fait aussi pour visiter Londres dès qu'il a appris la nouvelle que son père souffrait d'un cancer. Mais les "watch dogs" de l'entourage du roi Charles ne lui permettait pas de parler à son père et après (20 à 40 minutes selon les différentes média) il a dû retourner. Qu'est-ce-que chacun de nous aurait pensé à sa place ? Ce n'est pas très encourageant n'est-ce-pas ? Et à la Colombie au moins il est bien reçu, tandis qu'à Londres ..... Il doit réserver une chambre dans un hôtel, puisqu'il n'est plus le bien venu dans un des multiples demeures de la famille royale (tandis que le prince Andrew .....tout à l'air d'être oublié).

Leaving aside how appropriate the outfits are for the occasion(s), I love the sundress, which I think is one of the nicest things I have seen Meghan wear recently. Not keen on the bronze pyjamas nor the sleeveless waistcoat and trousers. Wonder why H & M both changed between engagements when the hostess and her husband/partner kept the same outfits. Not a criticism, merely a question.

The outfit is very on trend, and Anon 19:12 is quite correct. Colors do not have to match exactly. That is outdated thinking and has been for several years.
