Queen Maxima Visited the Preparations for Zundert Flower Parade

Queen Maxima wore a white plain blazer suit by Massimo Dutti, and a navy and white stripe sweater

On August 30, 2024, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands visited the preparations for the annual Zundert Flower Parade in Zundert, southern Netherlands. The largest dahlia parade in the world will take place for the 82nd time on September 1. The Zundert Flower Parade consists of twenty floats, which are designed and built by the residents of the twenty neighborhoods. The floats are large artworks made of steel wire, cardboard, papier-mâché, and flowers, and they are constructed entirely by volunteers. In Zundert, only dahlias are used to decorate the floats.

No she does not look fabulous. Ever hear of the phrase "A woman's hair is her crowning glory"? Max, does not tend to her hair even though she has the money, the staff to help her keep it looking nice for a Queen of a Country. Too bad, she has a nice smile. Emery

@Anon 21:44 That ancient saying is obsolete when it comes to Max. Her crowning glory is her cheerful smile and warm attitude; no head of hair could top those, lol.

      @ Emery
Queen Maxima looks great in Massimo Dutti clothes because she is tall.
I wonder how your hair would look if you had thin hair like she does.
Even if you have the money, hair that is damaged because of bad treatment in the past can sometimes not be saved anymore, unless you cut it short and stop the bleaching,
The white pant suit : on Thursday I was in a boutique of Massimo Dutti and saw wonderful clothes. A pity this brand belonging to a Spanish group of fashion clothes is much too long for people like me. Everything I tried on was too long and if you try one or two sizes smaller you cannot close the blazer of the blouse anymore. The dresses or skirts can be made shorter, but if you do that the effect is completely lost. I jdo own a black T-shirt by Massimo Dutti, a cashmire sweater and 2 belts. Three things I've bought before 2020 and these pieces are still beautiful and up-to-date. After the Corona crisis 1 of the 2 shops was closed. The other one which is the smallest of the 2 is still there.

She looks great. Her hair can go from awful to awesome but her smile and positivity always top it all. KM

I’ve gotten used to her hair, all I see anymore is that smile and her obvious wonderful effect on people. :)

    1. Yes so do I, particularly since that hair styling is quite common, however not very "royal", but what is most important for her ? Her personality is more important than her hair styling on casual occasions. She knows how to adapt.

You can't go wrong with white and breton stripes - this is a lovely look on Maxima. I don't mind the hair - it doesn't look half as bad here and actually adds to the approachable atmosphere around her.

Good of her to help the people of Zundert with the flower arrangements for the parade. Every citizen of the town of Zundert (children included) help to nail flower after flower on the objects made of wire and cardbord. I am not living in The Netherlands but I remember we did something similar when I was a kid in my municipality. It was not so elaborated like in The Netherlands but I remember it was fun and the people worked every night (during the day it was too hot to do it and the flowers were kept as cool as possible) until very late to attach the flowers on the cardbord objects. My friends and I had to help too and we were not amused we had to leave to go to bed earlier than the adults.

It's disrespectful to show up with that hair, no matter how much she's over smiling. . Her outfit is very nice.

  14. I think Maxima looks fantastic. But what I really love about her is that, no matter where she is or what she's doing, she looks like she is having the most fabulous time!
