Queen Margrethe, together with a team of archaeologists, visited an excavation site in Central Jutland. The investigations of the Iron Age village at Hedegård have just entered their second phase. Together with students from the University of Copenhagen, Moesgaard Museum and Horsens Museum are examining the remains of monumental fortifications as well as some of the buildings that stood above the Skjern River valley 2,000 years ago. The Queen also visited Horsens Museum to see the artifacts being excavated.
La reine a l'air ravie au cours de cette visite qui correspond tout à fait à un de ses centres d'intérêt !
ReplyDeleteRetirement looks good on the Queen.
ReplyDeleteQueen Margarethe is flat out amazing! Working with archeologists now--she is so admirable. It is obvious she loves to learn.

You have to love this lady, wears jeans and t shirt to fit in with the workers. She is smart, loving retirement, hopefully her sons have learned a thing or two from her. She is such a great example of how to age gracefully and continue learning.
ReplyDeleteAlways busy with meaningful things. Did Margrethe not study Archeology at University? I believe I read something about it many years ago. She looks good in jeans to. css

DeleteBy curiosity, what other names were mentioned?
For me, each Queen has special qualities/personality etc.
She's an awesome monarch! I think all monarchies could learn from this super smart woman who is clearly enjoying her life - as she should!
