Queen Camilla Visits the Sky Bet Ebor Festival at York Racecourse

Queen Camilla wore a blue button through coat, and a floral print dress on day three of the Ebor Festival

On August 23, 2024, Queen Camilla attended the third day of the Sky Bet Ebor Festival at York Racecourse. Queen Camilla visited the racecourse to watch the Crown Estate horse, which she co-owns with King Charles and which was bred by the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen was greeted by William Derby, the chief executive of York Racecourse. In May, Queen Camilla became the Royal Patron of York Racecourse.

  1. Yep. Good. But - no hat to horse racing?

my thoughts exactly. All the ladies are traditionally wearing a hat except for the Queen! kind of under looking on her position.

This coat fits and suits her well. I find her makeup a bit cakey, heavy and a bit to bronze. Again the heavy brow trend which is okay she needs to define her brow, but they look alittle greasy. A little blush on the cheeks, lighter brows and lipstick is all she really needs.

    2. Maybe the bronze tone on Camilla's skin is from sitting in the sun, around the pool at Balmoral 😀

Dear Deadeggs. After the soggy cold summer we’ve had in Scotland this year, please don’t even joke about it! 🌧️ 🌬️ ☔️😂

    Q.C. looks quite good.
She is wearing a beautifull coat, standing out by its colour.

The first picture shows a really good view of Camilla’s engagement ring, which doesn’t always photograph well. It’s a gorgeous ring.

  5. Beau manteau de couleur qui à première vue me semble un peu lourd surtout qu'il est porté sur une robe !

Good of Queen Camilla not to wear a hat. She is finally daring to make a traditional event a bit more up to date. The lady with the pink hat in picture N° 2 cannot see properly with a hat like that.
I never saw QC with a deep suntan like this. A pity the coat looks a bit heavy. Why she never wears a beautiful ensemble of a skirt and jacket (Chanel look i.e.) ? I am sure it will suit her. Love her Dior bag and diamond ring.

  7. Photo N°1
Camilla, fashion wise, looks a bit underdressed for a day at the races.
However, the lady in the brown ensemble looks very smart.

Check the festival guide dress code “ There is no formal dress code for ladies”… and if you look at second photo here you can see ladies with and without hats in equal numbers. I think Camilla still looks very well dressed but also … is a country girl (albeit a rich one) at heart and always dresses aptly for each occasion, but never overdresses. - Grace

The Queen needs a haircut, not to deviate from her trademark style, but a trim would look better.

Nice color for Camilla. This is a stunning blue. No hat? css

No hat! Hmmm. I thought that proper British etiquette (not withstanding cheating on your husband and the wife of the partner you are not married to) was her “forte”. Anyway. Nothing worth a style note, the positive side would be colour, decent fit and…. that’s about it.

CH this is a fairly informal horse meeting with no dress code for ladies so I think she’s still spot on re etiquette as you say - Grace

I'm a bit lost. You sound as if you are talking about a soap opera on the telly.
You know, I love telly soap operas because they're based on lust, betrayal, passion, infidelity and excitement.
And the stars who play the roles are usually dress up and made up to the hilt.

I believe Charles inherited that ring from the Queen Mother - it was her engagement ring.

Too much bronze on the cheeks, yet it matches the brown shoes. lol

    1. I'd love to make a comment after yours Edwina but I don't think I'd better.
My chances of getting a title e.g. Baroness (Baroness Deadeggs) would go right down the drain.🙄
