Lovely to see all four of them. They are all looking well. Let me also be the first to say 'the children are growing up right before our eyes so quickly, and are becoming attractive young teenagers' :) Wishing all a Happy Summer.

Yes, their children have grown up in the last couple of years. Henrik is becoming more like his father. Athena has always been a cutie as well as pretty. She is blossoming into quite a sweet teenager. They look very happy. I wonder if part of their positivity is due to recognizing that not being burdened by their past Royal Styles HRH + Titles Prince Princess.

Not strange at all for a growing, 14yo teenager. There are lots of teen boys his age around the world with similar haircuts. I see them in my neighborhood every day, riding their BMX bikes, longboards and e-scooters. He is at the age where he can decide on things like this (same as his twin cousins do) and I applaud his parents for giving him the leeway to make his choices.

I agree with Anonymous. Henrik, being 14, would be keen to be a regular teenager amongst his school friends. Hair styles for teen boys is a very important expression for them. It's their chance, if allowed, to choose their style so that they can either stand out as different or blend in with the "crowd" that suits their dynamic (sporty, eco warriors, academics, emo's etc). Since Henrik is further down the succession line than Prince Vincent is, it allows Henrik more freedom of fashion + appearances than Vincent has. Vincent + Josephine and their older siblings Christian + Isabella, all have less freedom in appearances. I can't imagine the Crown Prince coming home from a Summer break with piercings on his eyebrow, nose, tongue + inks high up on his beak in full view. Whereas Felix + Nikoli could, especially as it's more acceptable in the "modelling" world.

I have a 15 years old grandson. Lucky my son and his wife, the parents of my grandson, would never allow him to destroy his body with piercing and tatoes. I find count Henrik's hair rather weird. All the friends of my grandson have their hair short in the neck and around the ears but longer on top of their head. Now with the holidays and the hot weather some of them wear their hair a bit shorter which is normal, but I bet by September 1, when schools start again their hair will be again like I described above.

    6. No name at 10:02, when you live in your own little bubble, everything different and different from what you're used to seems strange. It's also called black and white thinking and I think THAT's weird. Henrik certainly has his own reason why he wanted to cut his hair like that. They are just right for him. Can we just stop judging the kids here!

Why don't you write a comment as well to Anon. 5/8 at 12:47 ? It was to her/him my answer was addressed in the 1st place, but you are free to give your comment too.
I don't live in my own world and I can see the difference between youth that is supported by their parents and need no piercings or tattoos like so many are doing these days. At the age of 14 or 15 years old you are not a child anymore, but you are not adult yet. Not an easy age for the parents either. These children need a lot of attention as well for their studies as for their occupations in their free time. That was the answer I was giving to Anon. 12:47 when she wrote that the princes and princesses in the royal family had less freedom than their nephews and nieces. I am convinced that their nephews and nieces receive a lot of attention of their parents too but it is the same for responsible parents who don't belong to royal families. I also think that it has nothing to do with black & white think ing, on the contrary. I also said that the friends of my grandson now that the weather is sometimes hot, they cut their hair a bit shorter (just like prince Henrik).
I wonder if my English is so bad that you don't understand what I am writing or you don't read everything what I am writing.

So nice to see them in the Homeland again. Great pics of the family. Athena looks so much like her mother. Joachim really looks well and rested. Henrik must have a new haircut. Wonder if the children are into Car races too like their father? css

Nice, casual looks. But can I just say that I love, love, love how they always include their little dog as part of the family, in so many outings and photos. It's really sweet. Same with CP Victoria and her family and their little Rio.
