On August 15, 2024, Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako attended the National Memorial Ceremony (the day for mourning of war dead and praying for peace) at Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo, which was held on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II. About 4,000 people, including family members of the war dead, attended a government-sponsored memorial ceremony at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan.
Pour cette cérémonie commémorative, je ne remarque pas du tout de changement dans la tenue du couple impérial ; j'aime beaucoup le gris clair des collants, couleur que j'adore !

The dress and jacket of the Empress is divine. I can imagine it in many pastel colors too.

ReplyDeleteShe has this dress and jacket for how many years now ? I like it, if only the dress was a bit shorter. I'll never get used to the style of her hat. Beautiful flower arrangement.
ReplyDeleteSuch a rich and beautiful culture, love their traditional colorful clothing. It’s such a pity they restrict this family too such welmade but bland outfits.
ReplyDeleteClassic look for Empress Masako. It seems Europe and Japan are great with honoring the War deaths. Respect for the fallen of every war. They earned it. css
ReplyDeleteAgree with anon 20:14 Yes, we have seen this suit before, and if I recall correctly, she has worn it for the same remembrance ceremony every year. I like the cut and style of it so I don't mind seeing it once a year repeatedly, but I also wish that the IHM would change it up a bit for her and give her something new to wear, without diminishing the honour and respect of the occasion. I enjoy seeing the beautiful floral display every time.

This classic suit looks beautiful on the Empress. The cut and style of this suit is stunning. Love the shade of grey. The pearls, necklace and earrings look very elegant.
