Princess Amalia of the Netherlands is back in France to follow the Olympics. On August 5, Princess Amalia and King Felipe watched the 3x3 basketball final between the Netherlands and France at the Place de la Concorde during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Netherlands won gold in the men's 3x3 basketball by beating France 18-17 in the final at the Paris Olympics. Amalia congratulated the players after their gold medal win.
What joy to see Princess Amalia enjoying the event with King Felipe.
ReplyDeleteShe is looking more and more like her mum.
And her smile is getting like her mum’s smile.
More confidence, more beautiful.
Bravo.
Agree! Such a treat to see them having fun.

Indeed, what a beautiful and happy face, and exuding much confidence. MR
DeleteLovely to see Amalia spending time with her godfather, King Felipe
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree. She looks great

La princesse Amalia est de plus en plus jolie ; j'aurais aimé mieux voir le style de chemise porté sous son blouson orange ?!
ReplyDeleteWhy must she wear and a jacket and carry a pashmina with her ? It cannot be cold already in Paris.
ReplyDeleteThe pashmina is Maximas signature to waive it at athletes from the tribunes, she has said that on interviews.

@ Luna
DeleteQueen Maxima carries indeed a pashmina each time she is going out in a (evening)dress and sometimes as an addition when she wears a jacket or coat, but I've never seen a picture where she really wears the pashmina. Also her daughters when they are going out together as a group with their parents are carrying pashmina's. They have them in a lot of colors.
Is he her godfather?
ReplyDeleteAccording to online references, King Felipe is NOT one of her 6 godparents.

Yes. He is !
Deleteyes he is ! CP Amalia lived in Spain for one year when her live was in danger due to treats the Dutch Royal Family received. She was there under the protection of King Felipe.
Delete"The Princess was baptised on 12 June 2004 by Reverend Carel ter Linden in the Grote or St Jacobskerk in The Hague. Her godparents are Prince Constantijn, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Herman Tjeenk Willink, Samantha Deane, Martín Zorreguieta and Marc ter Haar."

She is having a great time, but the combination of clothes is….amazing
ReplyDeleteShe looks great and if she wants to wear a team jacket over a sleeveless top, good for her she fits right in. Nice to see the king in jeans, they seem to be having so much fun together
ReplyDeleteWhat I love most about the photos is how confident she looks. She's growing into her role! And, lucky for her, she looks good in Orange.

J'adore le style décontracté et nonchalant du roi Felipe ! Il semble très flegmatique et posé. C'est vrai qu'il n'avait pas d'équipe à soutenir ici ! ;-)
ReplyDeletePaloma.
Princess A lived in Spain for about a year (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68830917; https://www.hola.com/us/royals/20240429359357/queen-maxima-daughter-princess-amalia-found-freedom-living-spain/). Her parents and King Felipe and family are reported to be good friends.
ReplyDeleteHolland won. Great to see the Pss this morning and show her happiness for the Netherland team. She sure is in good spirits with her godfather the king of Spain. css
