On August 19, Crown Princess Victoria commenced special officer training at the Swedish Defence University. During the training, the Crown Princess holds the rank of student. The Crown Princess is undergoing special officer training (SOFU) to further deepen her involvement with the Armed Forces and to gain a deeper understanding of tactics, military science, and military strategy. The training is part of the Crown Princess's ongoing effort to continuously broaden her knowledge in preparation for her future role as head of state.
she is starting kind of late compared to other young Royals.
ReplyDeleteThe world was different when she was young.

DeleteI don't know how old you are, but CP Victoria did had military training before, more than once. This however can be considered as a refresh and it is a special officers training. Like anonymous 06:52 said, the world was different when she was young.
She had military education when she was younger, this is more like further education.
DeleteThe Crown Princess completed basic military training in 2003 and since then took part in further training and exercises on a regular basis. She is now taking an advanced course to become an officer. You do not get the rang of an officer without basic military training and experience. Victoria takes her future duty of becoming the head of state as well as the head of military seriously. (Beth, for some reason I cannot comment with my nickname)

She is already military trained. This is a special officer program.

… or maybe you’ve started observing her late?! This is not her first time, just the next in a sequence over many years. - Grace
DeleteI read that she will be stepping down from all but the most important royal events for the duration. I think it is a great initiative, and I wish her well in her training. LRB
ReplyDeleteHow long will she be in training?
DeleteShe wears the uniform well. Neat and well groomed. Just lose the jewelry before you start training, please .
ReplyDeleteIt's officer training, not boot camp. I think the jewelry will probably be fine in the classroom.

Not too much too much in terms of fashion here but Victoria looks neat, polished, and can even pull that field cap!

Victoria seems to take her current (and future) role seriously. I commend her for doing this.

She is so naturally pretty, and the khaki camo suits her. Good luck to her in her officer training.

She looks great in uniform, wears it well. She looks well groomed.
ReplyDeleteThis is further training. I believe she has already been through the academy.
ReplyDeleteEven in camouflage she looks good. This is an important training for her. In the near future she is not just Head of State, but also Head of all the military branches. I wish her the best. css
ReplyDeletePrincess Victoria is taking her role seriously as future Queen of Sweden.
DeleteI wish her the best.
Hope she enjoys the break from having to start each working day looking like a top fashion model.
Ce genre de tenue de camouflage lui sied à merveille ; j'aime beaucoup quand elle porte la casquette !

ReplyDeleteGood for CP Victoria, she tackles many things in life that are difficult, with grace, and determination.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Westling took the courses together. He also needs an education in military strategy and ops. My wife and I are stranded in America without this type of vital training.
