Canadian fan: her son was taken by police for violence I think, a few days ago.

      Laissons le privé privé, ok!

Je vois un couple heureux d'encourager les athlètes de leur pays et c'est très bien.
      Merci!

Lou, you can’t be a public person and have a private life. That’s a choice you make before becoming a public person.
The several issues with Marius have been all over the news for several years.

The crown princess son is a very troubled young man. He needs professional help and to be spared the shining light of publicity, but it is doubtful that will happen considering who his mother is the crown princess and his stepfather the crown prince of Norway.

Being related to Mette-Marit does automatically make you a public person. She has two children that are going to have public lives because they were born royal. The rest of her family is private and off limits. She has made that quite clear. Stop gossiping.

Thank you for responding to my question. I had not read about her son.

    9. I would like to add to An14.30. : he was taken for sexual violence, according to newspapers (generally speaking, not just the gossip press). It is probably unpleasant to read about this, however in view of the very wide attendance on this blog it is interesting to respond to questions coming from colleagues in distant countries. I have a lot of sympathy for CrPr MM.

Family is a mess since way back, same with uncle and grandfather on mothers side. Didn’t all these questions get raised when Haakon announced his relationship?

Latest update is that Mette-Marit is criticized for having interfered in the case where her son Marius Borg Høiby was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman he previously had a relationship with. This is reported by Norwegian TV2. The Crown Princess is said to have had "at least one personal conversation" with the woman after the incident. Several lawyers tell the channel that the action can be interpreted as an attempt to influence a crime victim. After all, it's about how the recipient perceives it.

MaryT, it wasn't sexual violence but a stranglehold and a punch, bad enough things either. He has today issued a statement where he told that he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He also publicy apologized to his girlfriend and family and he is going to treatment to get help. This time he wants to take it serious, it wasn't like that before. He has had a drug problem throughout his youth and growth and he has also been diagnosed with something. You can read it all in Norwegian newspapers, like VG and Aftenposten. Of course every normal person feels sympathy for the whole Norwegian royal family and for the the victim and her family too.

Both Marius parents, his father and his mother Mette-Marit used drogs, there was a pressconference in Norway about that after Mette-Marit met CP Haakon!

yes it would have been nice to see Ingrid-Alexandra and her brother but for some reason they keep out of the public unlike the young Spanish, Dutch and Belgian royals.

It sounds like it will put a lot of pressure on Ingrid Alexandra, hopefully she will get a lot of her own children being able to help out with the future work.

The wedding of her sister-in-law, Princess Märtha Louise is programmed for Saturday 31 August.
There should be a line up of fashions for the occasion.
