On July 3, 2024, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Prince of Wales, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Thistle Service at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh. The Order of the Thistle is the highest order of chivalry in Scotland and is personally bestowed by the King to his 16 Knights, as well as to Scottish men and women who have held public office or have made significant contributions to national life.
I must say the BRF sure knows how to celebrate an event. Sad that the POW could not attend. css
ReplyDeleteNobody other than the Brits knows how to put on an impressive ceremonial show.
DeleteAnd they’ve got magnificent background props to add to the scene.
Plus they’ve got wonderful costumes to make the show glitter.
God save the King and all the long standing British traditions.
Love Duchess Sophie's hat. Given today's unseasonable weather, she's done well to keep it on her head! Lovely shoes too and the dress is perfectly suitable for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteSophie's hat is beautiful, but I don't like this dress at all.
ReplyDeleteSophie looks so nice in pink, and the hat is a nice change. I am not fond of this type bodice, it does require a certain type of undergarment because if not it emphasize the hammock look.
ReplyDeleteSophie for the win! Great cut, length and color on her dress but the best parts are her modern updo and fabulous hat with the floral surprise on the underside. Beautiful from head to toe!
ReplyDeleteSpot on! Ellen
ReplyDeleteSophie porte un magnifique chapeau/capeline avec un dessous floral ; quel est le créateur de ses boucles d'oreilles que je crois voir en diamants ?!
ReplyDeleteSophie looks fabulous! Love her hat the most--floral underside is gorgeous element. The robes and regalia of the Order of the Thistle are sumptuous--that deep green is so beautiful.
