Today, July 14, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden celebrates her 47th birthday. The Crown Princess's birthday is being celebrated at Solliden Palace and Borgholm Castle on Öland. Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée, Crown Princess of Sweden was born on July 14, 1977. Traditionally, the Crown Princess celebrates her birthday on the Swedish island of Öland, where events are staged in her name over several days – known as the 'Victoria Days'.
The celebrations began with King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel, Prince Julian, Princess Madeleine, Chris O'Neill, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, and Princess Adrienne meeting the public in front of Solliden Palace.
The birthday celebration continued at the Borgholm Castle ruins in the presence of the King and Queen, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel, Prince Julian, Princess Madeleine, Chris O'Neill, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, and Princess Adrienne. During that celebration, the Crown Princess presented The Victoria Scholarship 2024. This year's scholarship recipient is Swedish volleyball player Isabelle Haak.
A very happy 47th birthday to CP Victoria of Sweden. Lovely to see all the family together on such a special day. Love the dresses, the only thing is Sofias sleeves are a bit too much. The children's clothing matching. Chris hair is a bit to short maybe. But it is super to see everyone. css

Les motifs fleuris sont jolis sur les manches de la robe de Victoria mais je ne comprends pas les bandes bleues en bas, comme des bouts de tissus cousus en désordre, c'est très bizarre. Et la ceinture bleue ainsi que la bordure des boutons ne sont pas terribles non plus, dommage :(

ReplyDeleteI like Victoria’s dress okay, but I think I would prefer the pattern to be symmetrical on the bottom half of it. Madeleine looks lovely. Silvia’s whole outfit looks very businesslike and as if she is going to an entirely different event than the other women.

ReplyDeleteSummer in Sweden :-) Lovely family reunion. Is it just my impression that the relationship between Princess Madeleine and her husband has cooled down? No signs of affection or nearness, at least not in public.

Not every couple feels the need to show affection in public and someone would no doubt complain if they did. It doesn’t necessarily mean a relationship has cooled. And just because a couple is affectionate in public doesn’t mean they aren’t miserable in private.

DeleteIt was wonderful to see all the family gathering together and singing to Victoria, hope this will be new tradition. Chris was also singing along, so I guess he's more fluent in Sweden now which is good. I enjoyed seeing all the grandkids. How much they've all grown!

Sofia's dress is also from by TiMo. It's beautiful, but the sleeves are a little bit too long for her. I do not care about Victoria's dress, looks like a night qown to me. Madeleine looks beautiful as usual. All the children are adorable, but why does Oscar always have to wear a suit? Silvia looks good too, very beautiful outfit.
ReplyDeleteOscar does not wear always a suit. I think he wishes to copy his father and grandfather. At least he is wearing an off white ?/white summer suit and trainers not a navy suit and a tie comparable as what old men are wearing.

ReplyDeleteI love Princess Madeleine's dress - it is romantic, feminine, flattering to her figure and great for summertime. Usually not fan of floral dresses but this one I really love. She looks smashing.

ReplyDeleteI, for one really enjoy Victoria’s dresses. They are retro house-dresses. My mom used to wear them. Maybe I find her style comforting.
ReplyDeleteI wish the gentlemen had ditched their neckties to make for a more relaxed look for this family occasion. Also, the queen looks unnecessarily formal and wintery. A nice summer dress had been better, or at least a simple top instead of that bow blouse.
ReplyDeleteMadeleine, Sofia and Victoria each have a nice summer dress, of which I like Madeleine´s the most and Victoria´s the least. Too bad for the birthday girl, I wish she could have looked her best on her special day, but this (albeit neat) is a bit of a housewife dress.
Chris looks better in these photos than he has in a long time.
I fully agree about the ties. Would have liked the Swedish Royals to loosen up and be a bit more laid back and natural. I think they too often look stiff and bored. Victoria always try her best, she’s sweet. Her two children look like they never had the chance to be just kids. And Daniel always looks as if he is uncomfortable.

DeleteThere are other royal families in Europe whose kids are looking more like adults than Victoria's.
I don't like CP Victoria's dress. Reminds too much of a table cloth. All the other ladies are dressed casual too but some are better dressed than other. I am getting the impression that Chris is not happy being there.

ReplyDeleteNice to see Daniel in a single rather than double breasted jacket for a change. Oscar looks very dapper in his suit, as do all the children. QS has a suit that looks heavy for summer though the colour coordinate with the others.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to CP Victoria! I love this floral dress on her--she looks beautiful. The whole family looks wonderful and so happy. It's wonderful to see Chris joining in as we haven't seen him in a while. All of the kids are so cute. Estelle looks very pretty--and I think she might be as tall her mom as she's in flats while Victoria is wearing heels. Speaking of shoes--I believe Victoria and Madeleine are wearing the same shoes. Both Madeleine and Sofia look beautiful here too. Queen Silvia looks so elegant in her summer suit. I'm hoping Victoria has a wonderful family birthday and I wish her many, many more.

I liked Chris's new shorter hairstyle, also it looks like he has lost some weight and it is nice to see him smiling.
ReplyDeleteMadeleine's floral dress is gorgeous and it has flattering silhouette. She's very beautiful, fit and elegant woman. She's in her 40s and her hair are still so long and thick (my hair are so fine and can barely grow over the shoulder, so I always admire women with this kind of mane and Madeleine's hair are truly adorable!).
Sofia's dress has interesting skirt part and it fits her well. Victoria's dress had lovely colors but I didn't like the style and it looked a bit too big for her.
