Spain's King and Queen Attended a Military Ceremony at the General Military Academy

On July 3, 2024, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, along with Infanta Sofia, presided over the presentation of the Royal Dispatches of employment and appointments to the new officers of the Army and the Civil Guard at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza. During the ceremony, King Felipe presented Crown Princess Leonor (the Princess of Asturias) with the appointment as a lady ensign cadet of the Army and awarded her the Grand Cross of Military Merit with a white badge.

On August 17, 2023, Princess Leonor started her first year of training at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza. Leonor received the officer's saber on September 19, 2023. Princess Leonor swore an oath of allegiance to the Spanish flag at the General Military Academy on October 7, 2023. Princess Leonor was promoted to the rank of alférez (ensign) and awarded the Grand Cross of Military Merit by her father, King Felipe, on July 3, 2024.

  1. J'adore l'imprimé floral très frais de la robe de Letizia ; même si je n'en suis pas vraiment fan, l'asymétrie du modèle de Sofia lui va à merveille !

    Nice to see the Family at a Military event. I like Letizia's dress, but it may be worn at a different event. Leonor looked good in Uniform. Not a real fan of Sofias dress. css

      I agree. Leonor's hat is a bit too big for her. One cannot see her eyes almost anymore.

    Love how close and supportive they are of each other. Leonor is a very impressive young woman. Will Sofia also have military training?

  6. The floral print of the dress is pretty, but I don't like all the flounces or the uneven hem. Sofia looks lovely. Leonor is very impressive. Mature and steadfast.
