On July 21, Queen Margrethe of Denmark greeted the Gråsten Ring Rider Association (Ringriderforening) parade. The event took place outside the gates of Gråsten Castle in southern Denmark, where the Danish royal family is on vacation. The parade takes place every year on the third weekend in July and is a festival that extends over several days with a number of events in the city. It is an old tradition that the annual procession of the Gråsten Ring Rider Association passes by Gråsten Palace and greets the royal family.

ReplyDeleteThe Queen is dressed very summery and looks lovely as always. I hope those that criticize King Frederick because he is not dressed in full regalia at this event will give him a break. As you can see it is a very casual event when all of the Royal family greet those who attend!

DeleteJewels are not important here. Leave these people in peace, they are all dressed casual because they are on holiday in their own castles just like they always did every summer.
Queen Margrethe looks so lovely in her pretty summer dress! I know that King Frederik and Queen Mary are reported to be on a short vacation so I am guessing that's why we are not seeing them at this event as I believe that Mary and Frederik have participated in this ceremony very often in the past. It's wonderful to see Queen Margrethe out and about!
