Queen Camilla hosted a special event at the Palace of Holyroodhouse

Queen Camilla hosted the cream of Scottish literary life at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. The Queen met with bookshop owners, authors such as Alexander McCall Smith, and representatives from the Edinburgh International Book Festival, which has supported writers since 1983. The Queen gathered the group associated with literature as she began her official stay in Scotland with the King, known as Holyrood Week, which is shorter this year because of General Election restrictions.

The fabric print on Camilla's dress is pretty. It reminds me of a famous china/porcelain pattern which I also like which is probably why I'm drawn to it.

Camilla also looked very good in sky blue at the garden party which followed later in the day.

  6. Je n'arrive pas à dire que cet imprimé floral aille bien à Camilla car il y a trop de motifs !

The pattern of Queen Camilla's dress reminds me at the wall paper in the hall of my late mother in law. This kind of print was used for fabrics, textiles, wall paper etc.. during the 1980's

    2. C'est tout à fait cela ; le motif de cette robe ressemble beaucoup au papier papier d'une chambre de chez ma grand-mère bien avant les années1950 !

This dress is fresh and flowery, definitely better than the drab housewifey creation we were confronted with the other day.
