On July 29, 2024, Crown Princess Leonor (Princess of Asturias) and Infanta Sofia of Spain visited the Olympic Village in Saint-Denis, north of Paris, and toured its facilities in the company of the Spanish athletes who were there at the time. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Spain is represented by a team of 382 athletes. Spanish athletes are competing in all sports except breaking, rugby sevens, weightlifting, and wrestling.
It's nice to see these two royal young ladies enjoying the games and supporting their country's athletes. I'm surprised that the Danish Royal family's young members are not in Paris, since they are all such a sporting family. Same for the Norwegians and the Swedish royal families. However there's still more time for the games when the Track and Field events will begin, so perhaps they might show up for those events. I also realise that the Winter sports and olympics might be more popular with the Nordic countries than the Summer Games.

ReplyDeleteSon muy guapas y sofisticadas a veces, pero en París están siendo sencillas, juveniles y deportivas. Sobre todo, disciplinadas, atentas y trabajadoras, como hijas de Felipe y Letizia. Increíble con 17 y 18 años su nivel de autonomía y compromiso.
DeleteVisiting the OG and the athletes village is fun for the 2 princesses to do it on their own, but I wouldn't call it work.
DeleteThat's the way to enjoy the Olympics. They are doing great talking to the athletes and walking around on their own. Other royals should take note.

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong to spent time at the OG with your parents (The Dutch Royal Family) or separately (The Spanish Royal Family). The only difference is that you need more security and body guards is you go separately.
