Wrong colour shoes and bag with Queen Mary's outfit.

I think they look good together. What colour would you suggest?

The color is perfect. What do you suggest she wear? Not white, I hope.

One of the most down to earth modern royal couples. They know when to turn up the style and when to turn it down, and they look and suit both types of situations. Well done.

That dinner, what is it? Doesn’t look very French.
Shouldn’t they be eating Coq au Vin flamed with cognac with a good glass of red Bordeaux, vintage 2008.
And followed with a light Chocolate Soufflé accompanied with a Sauternes Premier Cru Supérieur.
Or for the athletes who don’t eat chocolate, a Tarte aux Pommes (apple tart ) with a fresh chantilly cream from Normandy.
Perhaps between the meat course and the deserte, a light lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate.
How sad they’re not giving a good impression of how the French eat. 😥

    2. Don't you have some too luxurious tastes, deadeggs ? Yes they have an everyday meal. I am surprised by the color adopted by the Danish team.

    4. Lunch served in the Olympic Village for the athletes. And it looks good to me. Some personal choices the sportsmen and sportswomen can make, depending on their eating habits, or preferences, or dietary requirements. I would think that all the french dishes suggested by deadeggs might have been on the menu for the dinner that was held in honour of the distinguished foreign guests a day before at the Louvre. In the canteens of the Olympic Village certainly much less so.

Your request has been well noted.
I’ll see what I can do.

Precious deadeggs, you stay just as you are baby girl, your lighthearted since of humor is needed on this blog to counter act some of the vicious and hurtful comments some make. Your comments make me smile! FITZHUGH

    7. Dear FITZHUGH.
Again, I think it could be a problem of what is funny in one country is offensive or not understood in another.
We had this a couple of weeks ago when, what could be called a light hearted comment made by a blogger was taken badly by another.
Not much of a solution to this. When bloggers who don’t like my humour see my name which is on every comment I make, they can just use the click/delete button on their keyboard and move on.
p.s. Some nice photos of Queen Mary at the games which you can cut and paste in your “Royal” scrapbook “Her Majesty Queen Mary of Denmark.”

deadeggs, that is so true, remember some time ago I made the comment that Prince Albert's arm candy aka Princess Charlene was his and a couple of posters got all bent out of shape about it, I guess we cannot please everyone but we must stay true to ourselves! FITZHUGH

And so do Queen Silvia, Queen Sonja, probably Maxima, Catherine etc..what is your point?

    2. Anonymous26/7/24 22:21

I didn’t get grey hair until I was 68 years old, and what does that matter. The length could be a bit shorter, to me it would look nicer

    3. She "must"? Really?

What was the point of saying that? Some people are so driven to say something when they have nothing of value to say that they will make the most stupid comments.

    5. Are you that (one?) person who always writes short and nasty comments about Mary?
Why are you so obsessed with her?
I'm almost 70 years old and I have only some dark gray tresses. My hair colour is dark brown and I'm still coloring it because I can. It's my business like Mary's hair colour is her business.
Mary and Frederick are both looking good in their olympic outfits.

She may have some gray hair but it’s not a secret that she has it colored like many women.

Paloma.

  9. I like the casual ensemble Mary is wearing. Her neutral shoes are a good choice. Frederik, looks great in his Navy coat and pale pants.

Nice to see Queen Mary popped over to see the Aussie team too. Probably for a coffee, we brought our own barista and coffee cart.
