  1. Mon regard s'est tout de suite porté sur la robe d'Eléonore dont l'imprimé vert apporte de la fraîcheur à son look en cette période estivale !

The Natan dress looks great on QM, love the colours and fit. Congratulations to PE, such a smart young lady and of course it is nice to see her family there to support her and celebrate her achievements. She looks cute in her school outfit

I just saw an interview of CP Elisabeth with the Belgian media in Oxford. There are beautiful pictures and video's in my online newspaper. I wish to share (I'll try) one of the most important pictures. Fashion is not important today but the milestone in the life of the princess is.

Thank for link. Surprise that Elisabeth was named Saxe-Cobourg. In Belgian she is "de Belgique".

In Belgium she is called "de Belgique" or "van België". She followed the Royal military school in the Dutch language and on her uniform her name was spelled Elisabeth van België. On the other hand her brother Gabriël who is still at the Royal military school and who is also following the lessons and training in Dutch his name on his uniform is Gabriel van Saksen-Coburg. In Oxford the family name of Saxe-Cobourg has the priority. Princess Delphine's official family name is also Saxe-Cobourg. That is the problem when you live in a trilingual country and international the French version has priority. It has also been said that in Belgium the king, the queen and the crown prince or in this case the crown princess only must use de Belgique or van België. The other children must use de Saxe-Cobourg (if the French version is required) or van Saksen-Coburg (if the Dutch version is required). And the real family name is von Sachsen-Coburg as the first Belgian king, Leopold I was a German prince.

      Wonderfull pictures and interview!
Elisabeth seems to be so free, elegant and eloquent in her addressing the press people, lovely to watch.
( makes me a bit jealous actually, being Dutch)

Princess Eleonore looks simply wonderful in this dress! Her height and slim figure perfectly suits the light breezy style of the outfit, including the rooched waist and uneven hemlines. Few can wear this as elegantly as she does (except possibly the Infanta Sofia), and her youth makes it all the more attractive.

I like Mathilde's re-wear of her dress too, though the pleating adds extra thickening to her waist. Might have looked better if she'd omitted the belt.

She omitted the belt in the past. Look at the 2 pictures on the left of the model's. Queen Mathilde looked not thinner without the belt. All depends on how the pictures are taken.

Excuse me but you suggested Princess Sofia could wear the same dress as Princess Eléonore. You must not forget that Princess Eléonore has a very frêle morphology which Princess Sofia has not. Princess Eléonore wears since more or less 3 years a little heel with her dresses which is much more elegant (and better for the feet) than the ballerinas and flats Princess Sofia always wear. But I think Princess Sofia cannot decide on her own yet what she wants to wear. She is the tallest lady in the Spanish royal family, but she cannot wear a little heel because her sister who is the crown princess cannot look shorter than Sofia. That is a problem which does not exist in the Belgian royal family : Princess Eléonore is taller than Crown princess Elisabeth, well so be it, nobody sees it as a problem.

      http://okdiario.com/look/img/2022/10/28/dl_u520986_001.jpg

  8. What great photos of a memorable day for the Princess and her family. Wonderful to see the family strolling around the streets of Oxford without loads of police and security people around while some of the onlookers obviously recognise them and inevitably whip out the phones.
I love the colours of the Queen's dress but it's not the most flattering. Princess Eleonore's dress is nice too but Princess Elisabeth is like a model in her graduation outfit. With all the flowing dresses that are currently fashionable the simplicity of a straight skirt, dark tights and smart shoes looks great.

I don't see Queen Mathilde with hair like Queen Maxima. It does not correspond with her style. If she cuts her hair shorter there is not much hair left to do up do's and using false hair pieces wouldn't be possible anymore.

@Anon 6:47 - I agree. I don’t think she necessarily needs longer or shorter hair, but perhaps fewer layers. She is truly a beautiful woman, but her hairstyle is not the most flattering. I think it makes her look older than she is and makes her forehead look broad.

About the so called layers. Queen Mathilde has a "balayage" in her hair, which could be considered as a layer but it is her own hair which is thick. She cannot cut the part under her "balayage" away. Any good hairdresser wouldn't do that. If you compare her hair on the last pictures next to the model it looks much thicker than her hair when in Oxford. I had the same "problem" when I was younger, but when you get older your hair becomes thinner anyway. I hope she can keep her thick hair as long as possible. If your hair is getting thinner many hair treatments are not possible anymore because it damage your hair. If my hair was still thick like before I could go to the hairdresser every week or every two weeks, but I can't. I need 1 week between two visits to the hairdresser to treat my hair with a medical hair treatment against hair loss. Result : I have bad hair a whole week before I return to the hairdresser.

What on earth are you talking about? Of course she can cut her hair. No matter how thick, if you have Curls, thin hair whatever you can tame your hair or a cut would make it look thicker. We have seen Mathilde with straight hair before not these old lady waves. There is a lot she could do. A more modern hair do wouldn’t kill her. It's only hair it grows out again

Elisabeth looks great in the tradional blouse, pencil skirt and string tie. An Oxford grad heading to Harvard! Truly something to make a family happy.
