ReplyDeleteElisabeth et Eléonore sont ravissantes ainsi que Mathilde dans sa nouvelle robe dont le drapé recouvre judicieusement son buste jusque sur ses épaules - Les princes deviennent de bien charmants jeuns hommes !
ReplyDeleteI fully agree !
DeleteÉlisabeth est éblouissante

Prinsess Elisabth´s fuchsia coloured gown is so elegant. Love the cape and she looks very beautiful in this dress. Queen Mathilde echos Dior´s New Look. I love this look with the draped cape top and the saucer hat. Very elegant.
ReplyDeleteI agree!

DeleteQueen Mathilde's hat is by Philip Treacy and she wore it the 1st time on King Charles coronation day.
All so well dressed. I especially like Eleonore’s dress, well suited to her
ReplyDeleteI also adore Eleonores outfit!
DeleteDiane von Furstenberg, the designer of Princess Eleonore’s dress, is said to be the creator of the famous silk wrap dress in 1970’s.
DeleteBelgium born and now 78 years old, below is a link to an interview she had with Oprah.
Quite a bit of reading, but interesting.

Elisabeth look beautiful. Her dress is nicely color-coordinated with the King’s sash. Eleonore is also lovely and looks a lot like her mother to me. The princes are both handsome in their suits.

Paloma.
I agree. I think the princesses wear too classic dresses for their age and so they look older.
DeleteWow!!! The ladies of the Belgian look marvelous here. The standout is Elisabeth--absolutely gorgeous in her bright pink dress and headband. She looks so elegant here. Queen Mathilde also looks great in her white coat dress--the silver buttons add just right amount of sparkle. I also really like her hat--it is the perfect accessory for her very detailed coat--all the pleating of the upper bodice could have looked too flamboyant had she chosen a larger or embellished hat. As it is, Mathilde looks wonderful. Eleonore looks lovely but I feel the dress is wearing her--perhaps had the dress been hemmed higher it would have helped. I also think her hair needed a bit of volume as the style looks very girlish in comparison with the very grown-up dress. King Philippe and his sons look quite handsome.

This family has an elegance that I think the other royal families lack.
ReplyDeleteHear hear!!
DeleteThe Queen and Elisabeth are the winners here. Emmanuel looks so much like his father. Great to see everyone. css
ReplyDeleteThe Belgian royal family is probably the most elegant of all the royal families of Europe.
ReplyDeleteYou could be right.
DeleteThat pink dress looks wonderful on Elisabeth🩷 Louise
ReplyDeleteI liked the difference with the other years. No nobody of the royal family did flag dressing. Last year Queen Mathilde wore red, CP Elisabeth yellow and the year before Queen Mathilde wore dark yellow and CP Elisabeth red. The princes wore a classic suit with a red or a blue tie. From this year on and I hope it will continue during the years to come they all wear lovely colors and the princes wore morning suits to go to the Te Deum. King Philippe wore his uniform of the Belgian Air Force. In the afternoon to watch the Défilé militaire CP Elisabeth wore the female uniform of the Belgian Navy and Prince Gabriel the uniform of the Army like his father King Philippe. They will change clothes once more to go to the festivities in the Parc and again to go to the evening concert and fire works at the Cinquantenaire.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen's dress is lovely, though there is something a bit off regards to the cape effect at the shoulder area. The pink caped dress looks elegant and just beautiful.
