On June 22, King Willem-Alexander (godfather of the bride), Queen Maxima, and Crown Princess Amalia attended the wedding of Countess Leonie von Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems and Count Caspar von Matuschka. The religious wedding took place at the Kirche St. Karl Borromäus in Hohenems, Austria. Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein and her daughter, Princess Marie Caroline, were also present at the wedding.

ZIMMERMANN Lola Paisley Dress
It looks like jacquard silk for bride gowns is fashion in German speaking countries like Germany and Austria. On the last wedding pictures I have seen from aristocrats of these parts, all the brides wore dresses in that fabric.
ReplyDeleteI also love the flower children in their red and white outfits.
CP Amalia is looking good in that blue dress. It fits her beautifully. The king and queen are looking handsome too.

ReplyDeleteI like all the photos about this wedding, the bride ... and princess Amalia looks lovely. Her dress suits perfectly her morphology, color ok for her ...
ReplyDeleteOh I love the bride in her bridal gown, looking so pretty!! And C.P. Amalia looks so pretty in blue!! Wow, she's gorgeous!! And look at mom, Q. Maxima hitting the ball out of the park in a gorgeous dress with matching accessories!! LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! MR
DeleteThe flower girls are in red. Maxima is in a shade of berry. The only reason I have ever heard of to refrain from wearing red to a wedding is to avoid drawing attention from the happy couple. When royalty is invited to a wedding, I don't think that is a concern. Choosing red as the color of the wedding makes the argument moot.
DeleteThe families involved in the wedding might have chosen red and white (like the pageboys/flowergirls outfits) as a theme because these are the Austrian colours (flag is red-white-red) as the bride is a direct descendant of Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, who herself very often went by the name Countess of Hohenems when she travelled.
DeleteI'm sure I'm getting the names/titles wrong, but the Dutch princess in the royal blue dress is blossoming into a real beauty. I think her name is either Catherine or Amelia. I also liked the long dress on the princess from Liechenstein. It's shown on the model.
ReplyDeleteHer given names are Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria, She is known in the Netherlands as Princess Amaliagenerally speaking.
DeleteThe Dutch Princess is certainly blossoming into a real beauty. I think her name is Catherine. She has exquisite features. She also looks like a very nice person, There is a humility about her. As for clothes, I really liked the dress on the Liechenstein princess. (The one on the model.) I've seen her before, but don't know her name.
ReplyDeleteC-A looks beautiful. Deep blue color is lovely on her and dress would be perfect without the shoulder pads which widen her and are not necessary. Gorgeous sapphire earrings. Maxima is elegant and the red works.Stunning broach.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about the blue dress. The shoulders and sleeves are unnecessarily inflated. Other than that I really like her dress. Amalia looks great with this more defined silhouette. I am happy that she dared choosing something feminine rather than hiding in wide clothing and under massive coats and capes.
DeleteAmalia wears the best dress she has ever worn. A beauty. Did she lose some weight? Maxima gorgeous as ever and I love the dress of Zimmermann of the heriditary princess of Liechtenstein
ReplyDeleteI agree about Catharina Amalia looking great i this dress. It is well fitting and flattering and she looks amazing. She also looks more confident and has thankfully chosen smart heels rather than the strange block shoes worn by the model. Queen Maxima as fabulous as ever but I disagree on the Zimmerman dress,, which is too fussy for my taste
DeleteThe king better not buttons his coat when wearing a doublebreasted vest underneath
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful couple. I wish them all the best for their future together. Very lovely dress not overdone, for me just right. Love some of the guests' dresses. The Dutch RL look stunning. Sophie of Liechtenstein and daughter the dresses seem to be Ok. Hope we'll get more pictures to look at. css
ReplyDeletecatherina Amalia looks stunning in this dress. The color cut and shape is perfect for her. The accessories are not to be sniffed at either.
ReplyDeleteMaxima rocks a big hat like no other royal lady.
HD Sophie and her daughter looking summery.
Lowri.
The bride looks beautiful. Amalia looks superb in this beautiful blue dress, it suits her perfectly. Maxima looks fabulous. Love her dress, the shawl like effect, I love, very feminine and adding interest. The diamond brooch is simply beautiful, perfect placement. Love her earrings. She makes the most of the jewels she has access to and its marvelous. The Zimmerman dress looks good.
ReplyDeleteThe groom looks dashing 😍
ReplyDeleteI am happy for Amalia, she looks wonderful and perhaps slimmer. Queen Beatrix and her sisters were All chubby when they were younger and they went on radical diets with visible results so that we must assume that this is a hereditary problem.
