On June 29, 2024, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden opened the garden exhibition 'Idea Garden 2024' at Solliden Palace on the island of Öland. This year's theme is 'Find the Joy! An Allotment Garden for Everyone,' (Hitta glädjen!” En koloniträdgård för alla), and the task of carrying out this project has been assigned to the well-known gardener John Taylor. In addition to being a gardener, author, and host of shows such as Trädgårdstider on SVT, John has his own flourishing allotment garden at home in Malmö.
Silvia told the press she wanted to have an allotment!

Donc, comme il est un roi très souriant tout le temps, tout le monde l'a applaudi ! :-)

The Queen's dress looks nice, summery and fresh, she looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI once had a similar dress. The flowers on mine were purple instead of blue and I had a purple belt and shoes. I remember I wore it to go to a wedding party. The king and queen are looking relaxed in the exhibition garden.
ReplyDeleteLe couple royal a l'air décontracté à l'occasion de cette exposition. J'aime l'imprimé fleuri de la Reine très rafraîchissant qu'elle a su associer avec une sorte de petite veste courte ; ses chaussures blanches complètent très bien son look !
