In 2024, Spain celebrates the 10th anniversary of King Felipe’s accession to the throne. On the occasion of this anniversary, on June 19, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia attended celebratory events at the Royal Palace in Madrid. King Felipe ascended the throne on June 19, 2014, upon the abdication of his father. In accordance with the Spanish Constitution, as monarch, he is head of state.

DeleteSofia's flats are better for an official event than Letizia's beach like flats
ReplyDeleteI find the sandals to be barely visible and very subtle, therefore I don’t see an issue at all.
DeleteMy thoughts exactly. Letizia´s sandals may be golden, but that doesn´t make them formal or festive.
DeleteBut at least the sandals an improvement on the trainers so let's not be too critical!!
DeleteTrès élégantes. A chacune leur style mais j aime bien

All three ladies look lovely. I particularly like Leonor's red suit. The fit and length is perfect and she looks great in it. She is becoming a very confident looking and poised young lady, perfect credentials for a future queen.
ReplyDeleteI also love the hair style of the lady in the cream dress who is shaking hands with Letizia.

Anonyme 9h13 : j'approuve toutes vos phrases. J'aurais pu écrire la même chose. Leonor est très belle en rouge. Paloma.
DeleteBeautiful colour for queen Letizia !!
ReplyDeleteWhile I’m sympathetic towards the Queen’s foot problems, I think she can find more appropriate shoes to wear for the 10 years anniversary of the King’s accession to the throne.
ReplyDeleteStyle wise the girls are lovely and the King handsome as well.
I agree with your comment on the shoes. I do like her blue dress. Leonor and Sofia look fantastic. I don't know if it has to do with light, but Leonor's hair looks a lot darker suddenly.

The Queen has a broken toe, having had the same issue last year, I will have to say that my only options while healing was either sneakers ( which won’t be a good choice for the dress) or totally open shoes.

DeleteI saw it too, Leonor's hair is indeed darker than before. Maybe since she is still doing her military education and training, she doesn't apply highlights in her hair anymore..
I recommend you the video of Leonor and Sofia's toast in honor and gratitud to their parents. It was a surprise! Emotional!

ReplyDeleteThe Q dress is lovely and very nice strong color, but the footwear is a no. Best dressed is the CP Leonore, super look today great color. Sofia looks good as well like her flats. The King is always handsome and a great dresser. css
ReplyDeleteThe Queen has a broken toe, having had the same issue last year, during the healing process, all I could wear was sneakers ( which won’t be a good choice on this occasion) or totally open sandals, so I rather simpatize than criticize.

Agree !!
DeleteI did think Letizia’s shoe choice was odd for this occasion - having a broken toe explains it.

Queen Letizia looks like she is in a great deal of pain. This has been a chronic ordeal for her and I have a lot of sympathy toward her. It is very difficult to bear pain everyday, but she keeps on going. Kudos to her.
ReplyDeletePrincess Leonor looks stunning as does Infanta Sophia.
The star of the show, King Filipe, always looks wonderful.

All three ladies look well groomed and lovely. The King looks well attired. As does the Spanish Prime Minister, a very handsome man.
ReplyDeleteI think there is no country in Europe who has such a handsome prime minister than Spain.
DeleteI feel for the queen, her pain must me unbearable and yet, there she is: standing. I don't love the sandals but I'm sure she looked for the most discreet option. At the same time she wanted, I believe, to let Leonor shine!
ReplyDeleteFor me is a win look for all of them.
The king hasn't have an easy reing, many crises, family scandals and the economy and politics have't been an easy ride either, so kudos to the entire family!

Oui elle doit avoir très mal et ne peut sans doute pas rester longtemps debout : il y a un tabouret juste derrière elle pour qu'elle puisse s'asseoir.
DeleteSes sandales sont jolies et ne me choque pas. Paloma.
They all are dressed lovely. One little comment on the red suit of CP Leonor (and now it is possible that I will receive bad comments), to me the jacket does not fit well. I think the jacket is smaller on the shoulders than on the hips. It is not visible in every picture but on the 5th and last picture (against the one of the model) it shows. The picture of the jacket (last one) shows it too. It is cut in an A.
ReplyDeleteSofia wins in outfit. Youthful look appropriate for her age and event. Too much red and the suit age Leonore a lot rather than giving her the future queen allure.
