On June 19, Queen Maxima attended the opening of a new school building at Emaus College in Ermelo. Emaus College provides secondary special education to around 150 students aged twelve to twenty who benefit from extra attention. The students either live at home or in the adjacent orthopedagogical treatment center 's Heeren Loo (sHL). 's Heeren Loo is the largest and oldest institution in the Netherlands caring for people with disabilities.
"Everyone can learn!" is the motto of Emaus College. Students receive appropriate support and customized education in small classes. Teachers provide safety and structure, focusing on both theoretical and practical lessons such as technology, creativity, cooking, sports, and resilience.
NATAN Crepe-effect Dress
I know she likes big hats, but this one looks like a flipped-up umbrella.

DeletePaloma.
Given the simplicity of the rest of the dress, I'm fine with the superfluous sleeves. The colour is lovely, the hat is her signature style, and Maxima makes this slightly avant garde look all come together better than anyone else could.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
Agree Anon 9:13! The wide sleeves are awesome and make an otherwise simple dress look amazing. I do like the colour also.
DeleteQuelle maniche sono brutte.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the colour I think the sleeves of this dress are awful. I know Maxima loves now and then some exaggerating or theatrically clothes and that's okay with me but these sleeves are not elegant at all
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteWonderful Q M !
ReplyDeleteYes , indeed . What a fabulous Queen .
DeleteYes she is a fabulous queen, but here we are in a school. A simpler dress would have been more appropriate
DeleteDreadful shapeless dress with pointless oversized and overdone sleeves. Beige Color washes her out. Yesterday’s red dress was 1000 times better for Maxima.
ReplyDeleteI think Maxima is fantastic but the sleeves on her dress…just no!
ReplyDeleteNice dress and color, but the sleeves need to go. What was she thinking? css
ReplyDeleteThose sleeves would drive me batty.
ReplyDeleteI like the top half of the dress, till I saw the huge sleeves. Regardless this was a awesome visit. Well done to the Queen, bringing sunshine and light to this visit. She is a ray of sunshine all herself!
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima is possibly the only person who can wear a drab beige outfit but still look exuberant. Hat and sleeves all make it a fun outfit but not a patch on yesterday's elegance.
ReplyDeleteWell, her name IS Maxima.. :)
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima is bigger than life and I am oscillating between OMG or Marvelous when it comes to the hat. Either way she is a very special lady and she reminds me of Rosiland Russell in the movie "Auntie Mame"
ReplyDeleteStrange to wear a “mother of the bride” dress for a school visit.
ReplyDeleteExactement ! Un immense chapeau de paille pour aller dans une รฉcole, c'est logique pour elle ! ;)
DeleteOnly Maxima can wear this kind of clothing and she’s looking gooood ๐
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can wear it then Maxima - I think it's great
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Anon 08:16
DeleteI think it's great. It's a dress for Queen Max.
Queen Max has been going through a subdued period with her official visits.
I was getting worried.
I though maybe Princess Beatrix had had a "little chat" with her.
But no. I'm sure Princess Beatrix adores her as she is ๐
ReplyDeleteGood points you make dear Achard62 (Tulipe). ๐๐
DeleteJust great
ReplyDeleteI honestly just want to have a third of the energy and enthusiasm Maxima radiates every time she's out and about. Of course the outfit is absolutely ridiculous and seeing her play table tennis in it made me giggle, but it's a Maxima ensemble if ever I've seen one and she's fabulous in it!
ReplyDelete-Nika-
Dear Nika.
DeleteYou can't help but love her.
I hope that at least one of her daughters inherits her personality.
Princess Beatrix has been blessed with three superb daughters-in-law.
Is Maxima really genuine? Does she feel the excitement she radiates ? I’m not convinced, but it seems a lot of people fall for it. Of course that’s ok too.
