  1. I know she likes big hats, but this one looks like a flipped-up umbrella.

C'est une tenue idรฉale pour jouer au ping-pong ! Elle peut rรฉcupรฉrer les balles perdues dans ses manches, hop ! :D ;))

Given the simplicity of the rest of the dress, I'm fine with the superfluous sleeves. The colour is lovely, the hat is her signature style, and Maxima makes this slightly avant garde look all come together better than anyone else could.

    1. Agree Anon 9:13! The wide sleeves are awesome and make an otherwise simple dress look amazing. I do like the colour also.

Except for the colour I think the sleeves of this dress are awful. I know Maxima loves now and then some exaggerating or theatrically clothes and that's okay with me but these sleeves are not elegant at all

Yes she is a fabulous queen, but here we are in a school. A simpler dress would have been more appropriate

Dreadful shapeless dress with pointless oversized and overdone sleeves. Beige Color washes her out. Yesterday’s red dress was 1000 times better for Maxima.

I think Maxima is fantastic but the sleeves on her dress…just no!

Nice dress and color, but the sleeves need to go. What was she thinking? css

Those sleeves would drive me batty.

  11. I like the top half of the dress, till I saw the huge sleeves. Regardless this was a awesome visit. Well done to the Queen, bringing sunshine and light to this visit. She is a ray of sunshine all herself!

  12. Queen Maxima is possibly the only person who can wear a drab beige outfit but still look exuberant. Hat and sleeves all make it a fun outfit but not a patch on yesterday's elegance.

Well, her name IS Maxima.. :)

  14. Queen Maxima is bigger than life and I am oscillating between OMG or Marvelous when it comes to the hat. Either way she is a very special lady and she reminds me of Rosiland Russell in the movie "Auntie Mame"

Strange to wear a “mother of the bride” dress for a school visit.

I think it's great. It's a dress for Queen Max.
Queen Max has been going through a subdued period with her official visits.
      I was getting worried.
I though maybe Princess Beatrix had had a "little chat" with her.
But no. I'm sure Princess Beatrix adores her as she is

I honestly just want to have a third of the energy and enthusiasm Maxima radiates every time she's out and about. Of course the outfit is absolutely ridiculous and seeing her play table tennis in it made me giggle, but it's a Maxima ensemble if ever I've seen one and she's fabulous in it!

You can't help but love her.
I hope that at least one of her daughters inherits her personality.
Princess Beatrix has been blessed with three superb daughters-in-law.

Is Maxima really genuine? Does she feel the excitement she radiates ? I’m not convinced, but it seems a lot of people fall for it. Of course that’s ok too.
