On June 20, 2024, Queen Mary of Denmark opened the Psychiatric Foundation's (Psykiatrifonden) event "Find the Elephant – Experience Aarhus" in Aarhus. The Queen unveiled one of the 30 large elephant sculptures that will be displayed throughout Aarhus. Queen Mary is a patron of the Danish Mental Health Fund (Psykiatrifonden).
The colorful elephants are designed by Danish and international artists and will be placed around Aarhus, where they will stand all summer. At the end of the summer, all the elephants will be gathered for a charity auction, with the proceeds going to the Psychiatric Foundation's work to ensure better conditions, treatment, and lives for people with mental illness.
Nu ska vi prata om elefanten i rummet....
ReplyDeleteden stora elefenten :)
DeleteHar du något att tillägga när de kommer till hennes klädesval? Annars föreslår jag att du söker dig vidare till en annan sida.
DeleteOh, be reasonable Anon 18:19
DeleteI thought the Scandinavian people enjoyed a bit of lightheartedness and humour. 😀
Mary is dressing like she is over 80!
DeleteDear @Deadeggs,
Deleteyou will Always be my myth!
Brilliant comment from you👍😉
You know, I think @Anonymous is trying hard to convert/ shift her trusted translator from the Scandinavian languages corpus to American English...
Maybe something went wrong and she's trying to fix it.
Please, give her some time to adjust to her new country and new language accordingly😉
@Anonymous forgot to change her mindset and way of life in writing her comments at 17:11-17:16-18:19.
As a matter of fact, real Scandinavian people would never comment this way!
In scandinavia, we dress more relaxed, and after the weather, and just because the sun is up, it doesn't mean the wind can be a bit cold. There is nothing wrong with Mary's outfit. We don't demand our royals to be dressed differently than ourselves 😉
Delete@20:11 Not true !!!! She looks quite appropriately.
DeleteMore summery look would have been nice instead of black trousers😮?
ReplyDeleteExactly, my thoughts! The more for such unofficial occasion...
DeleteBlue...
DeleteI agree with you.
DeleteThis is more an Autumnal look.
Je n'aime pas les pantalons larges mais comme Mary est très grande je reconnais que ça lui va bien ! Elle aurait dû porter un pantalon pattes d'éléphant, il aurait été de circonstance ! ;)
ReplyDeletePaloma.
Sun and summer and black trousers?
ReplyDeleteÀ no for me.
Agree. She must have something more summery in her wardrobe.
DeleteAdjust your monitors...they are navy blue.
DeleteI live close to a beach . I see a lot of women wearing a black bathing costume ??
DeleteOh, no deadeggs a Max Mara trousers 🤣😂
DeleteThe trousers are her blue Max Mara and even if they were black nothing wrong with it. Black is fashionably all year around. We all wear them during the summer except some ladies here obviously.
DeleteWide legged trousers worn with a shirt have become one of Q. Mary’s go to looks. It surprises me in a way because it seems a bit casual for a Queen, but it is certainly flattering. Perhaps she feels more approachable dressed in this way? (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely correct! This is far too casual for a queen! If she is not going to adorn herself in a tiara to look at these elephant sculptures, she should really step down. How dare she be so approachable?
DeleteHer pants are navy blue color not black.

What is you people's obsession with black/dark clothes in summer? I think Mary looks fine; she wears what she wants. Plus... there are many other folks in these photos who are - horrors! - wearing dark clothes. Some of us like dark colours & wear them year-round, I saw lots of people in dark clothes today. Should we all be sent to some sort of maximum-security fashion prison for 5 years till we learn our lesson on how to dress to please NMR commenters? OMg. ~~Ruthie
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of wide pants, I realize they are currently in fashion, regardless the Queen looks lovely in this casual yet chic and stylish outfit. This was a lovely visit. So uplifting for the participants, just splendid. Well done to the Queen.
ReplyDeleteI find this outfit somewhat too casual.
ReplyDeleteCe look convient bien à la reine Mary mais j'aurais bien vu de la couleur plus estivale dans son pantalon pour se combiner avec le blanc de son chemisier !
ReplyDeleteSo...no one has a problem with Leyizias thousand suit this summer, but Mary wearing a shirt and pants are to much? You people 🤣😂
ReplyDeleteI saw the last one needed autocorrection. So again. You don't have a problem with Letizias thousand suit, but Mary's shirt and pants are too much. You people 🤣😂
ReplyDeleteI think Mary sees something she likes and wears it no matter the season like she has worn summer like dresses in winter.
ReplyDeleteSimple but nice. josebabe
ReplyDeleteLOVE the elephants' !!!
ReplyDeleteEdwina
Oh look, black pants and a white shirt! How edgy! How fashionable. She’s so stylish.
