On June 25, 2024, Queen Letizia of Spain, as Honorary President of the FAD Youth Foundation, attended the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Help Against Drug Addiction (Fundacion FAD Juventud) held at Netflix headquarters in Tres Cantos. The main mission of FAD is to prevent drug use and other risk behaviors that impede or hinder the personal and social development of adolescents.
Adolfo Dominguez midi elastic waistband dress
Such a beautiful dress. The cut of it and the style details are lovely, and are more complex than they look. Wearing it without accessories accentuates them further. Fits Letizia perfectly - in size and style.

Totally agree. Shoes look very comfortable but model could be more elegant with this dress
DeleteThis dress highlight her excellent posture. However these pictures do not do her justice. In other pictures she is glowing from within and looks like a goddess.
ReplyDeleteViva!
À very nice dress…..until you see the skirt ( and the unflattering sandals).
ReplyDeleteAgree on both counts. The uneven hem makes the dress look like something borrowed that was crudely altered to fit its new wearer, and the rough rope sandals are barely worthy of wear. There are tons of options for cute sandals or flats, and a less voluminous skirt with a less drastic hem would create a more elegant look. As is, the outfit is great for Zoom, where only the top half would be visible. S.C.
DeleteMy thought as well. The uneven hem though it adds interest is just not my taste. Also the flap over fabric when caught by the wind reveals her thigh. To bad because it it a nice dress in fit. Sandals are okay
DeleteAgree with you all. I also think it is a very drab colour. Since Queen letizia is forced to wear flat shoes just now, she would look better with a shorter hemline to save looking dowdy.
DeleteTotally agree. The beach sandal slides destroyed the whole look. I can't imagine that there are no comfortable but more elegant flat sandals to buy in Spain. And an uneven hem is never flattering. With an even hem and elegant sling pumps or sandals the outfit would have been gorgeous.
DeleteTrès élégant ce modèle à la taille élastique dont l'asymétrie et la longueur n'avantagent pas Letizia surtout avec les chaussures plates !
ReplyDeleteThe uneven hem is as bad as Queen Maxima's, not to speak of the sad color. If I had the same problems on my feet like she has, I would be very careful and would not wear sandals. Too dangerous to hurt her broken toe again. The white trainers she has would be more safe and match the dress better.
ReplyDeleteHa, never heard that shoes can be dangerous!
DeleteReally, so now we must compromise our health for the sake of fashion! Obviously you have never suffered from any kind of foot pain.
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary. I bet you didn't even read my comment completely. I said "wearing sandals is too dangerous to hurt her broken toe again". Is that compromise your health for the sake of fashion ? I don't think so. Beside she wore flat white trainers last week and the week before when her toe was already broken. And yes I have suffered severe foot pain that is why I made my comment. It was on the orthopedist order who recommended me not to wear sandals as long as my foot was not completely cured.
DeleteThe dress looks really nice but the sandals? A ballerina flat would look more appropriate IMO.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress! It’s an unusual colour but very complimentary with the Queen’s complexion. The style is interesting too with the large section of ruching which creates such a flattering silhouette. I think the nude sandals are just fine. They disappear against her skin. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteDoesn’t she have a pair of espadrilles that would look better?
ReplyDeleteGiven her foot/feet problem she might not be able to wear espadrilles.
DeleteI love this dress--it's beautiful and it fits Queen Letizia perfectly. I don't like the uneven hem but it's not a deal breaker with this dress. I understand her foot issue(s) drives her shoe choices and these are pretty sandals but I do think the black flats with the ankle strap that we have seen her wear might have been a better choice. No matter what, Letizia looks marvelous here.
DeleteJanet
She cannot wear them...she has a broken toe
DeleteIf it is that bad, a cane would not be amiss. Also it would heal faster.
DeleteAgree Janet @19:39
DeleteYes, she does look marvelous.
En général j'aime beaucoup les tenues de Letizia mais cette fois je n'aime pas cette robe ni les sandales (elles ne sont pas en cordes comme l'a écrit quelqu'un, ce sont des lanières dorées : visibles quand elle est assise).
ReplyDeletePaloma.
Very nice color dress. Letizia is very thin, so she looks good in almost everything. css
ReplyDeleteI love like the dress and the sandals, just have one doubt the dress have a front cut? It seems to have, but just on the last photo.

Yes, I see that too. Odd.
DeleteThis is an unusual take on a fit and flare dress. If the width of the dress is cut from one piece of fabric as it goes from the shoulder to hem, it is a clever piece of construction by the designer. The volume of the skirt flows around her when RL is in motion. An uneven hem also adds interest.
ReplyDeleteThere are several colors in a box of crayons and everyone has a preference. In this light, the 'drab' grey is a mixture of black, white and blue tones.
The open toe sandals are necessary because 2 of her toes are held together with flesh colored tape. This is temporary. Ballerinas would be too confining.
@1516 Crude rhetoric is displayed by persons with poor self expression. Opinions are allowed to everyone but hatchet jobs are for the spiteful who chase the positive energy away from the blog. The other blogs are more accommodating to those who chase a 20 year old dream.

This is the best comment I have read in a while!

She looks great. She has the most beautiful hair of all royal ladies.
ReplyDeleteI work in a country where sandals are quite acceptable workwear & I have back problems so I have sympathy for wearing flat shoes. I have even broken a toe before so I understand those challenges. But L can do so much better. The dress and the sandals are extremely mismatched in style & formality level. What was she thinking?
ReplyDeleteWas was she thinking?? Important things, as working, she could be at home...not about 5 or 6 foreing persons on a foreing blog...she is not a model. What are you thinking about??
DeleteDo you have a suggestion? Or just critiques. Maybe she reads this blog for fashion tips.
DeleteWhen we wear a dress and sandals what are we thinking? What is it with some people and how they expect royals to dress. They are normal people just like us, and as normal people we should let them dress normal just like us.
DeleteBeautiful as EVER
ReplyDeleteI don't like the waistband of the dress, regardless, personal taste only. She looks very good in this dress.
ReplyDeleteMe. Me .Me.
DeleteA dress...OMG! 😀 Not a fan og the uneven hem, but can't be picky after all a dress us a dress 😉
