On June 26, 2024, Queen Camilla visited Christ Church CofE Primary School in Chelsea to see some of their literary activities for pupils. The Queen was shown a mosaic portrait of the King, which was created by the children and an artist for the coronation. The Queen also visited a reception class where she heard about the school’s “Shepherd and Sheep” reading scheme.
Camilla's dress is light, simple and quite pretty for the weather and time of year. It's her standard style of course, and a re-wear I believe. She looks happy and comfortable in it, so more power to her.
ReplyDeleteHowever, having watched video clips of this visit, what impresses me more than the clothes is how well she gets along with the children at this school. She engages them is fun banter, and genuinely seems interested and happy in their work. Best of all, she brought them a gift of books to the delight of the students. Well done to her!
(PS Since she is still hosting the Japanese Emperor and Empress on Day 2 of their state visit, wouldn't she have included at least Empress Masako to accompany her on this visit? I find that unusual.)

CoRo

Beautiful! What a Lady!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely dress and her smile in engagements with children is wonderful. I.P.
ReplyDeleteQuelle jolie robe toute en légèreté déjà portée dont les petits motifs apportent un petit air de fraîcheur pour la période estivale !
ReplyDeleteHer apron dress!
ReplyDeleteI thought we would never see this dress again. Yesterday evening "grand gala" and today a dress that is not appropriate, even if it is only to visit a school. She has other and better summer dresses to wear instead.
No, her dress was very appropriate.
DeleteTo know what would have been inappropriate, one only needs to refer Meghan’s dress at the school in Nigeria.
This is her working everyday uniform, appreciate the different trims and fabric. Nothing wrong with a well fitted dress, that is comfortable and the focus is on the event not her.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty dress and quite flattering for her. Happy to see it again.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime la robe marine à pois de la jeune femme (photo 3).
ReplyDeleteEt j'aime aussi les robes à petits carreaux des fillettes.
La robe de Camilla, non, robe-tablier. Paloma.
Great outing and good fun for the kids.
ReplyDeleteQuite impressive mosaic portrait of King Charles III.
OH, the dress, well, ........ next please!
My Mom wore that dress in 1950-1960. Her style is so boring.
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks nice, and is appropriate for this occasion and visit.
ReplyDeleteAlways spot on. css
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks wonderful and engaging as always. What a wonderful woman.
ReplyDeleteI’m very concerned for Princess Anne. I hope she’ll be okay with no repercussions from her accident. The reports scare me.
Camilla has a lovely personality!
ReplyDeleteI read elsewhere that the Japanese Empress is having a rest day today. QC looks perfect for the role of visiting children and encouraging reading!
ReplyDeleteI’m a minority on one. I find Queen Camilla’s style of dressing comforting. It’s like my grandmother who had a style and that was it. My grandmother wore Marie Dressler dresses.
