Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited the grave of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey

On June 25, 2024, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan visited Westminster Abbey as part of their State Visit to the United Kingdom. The Dean of Westminster, Dr. David Hoyle, led prayers at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior, and Emperor Naruhito laid a wreath in honour of those fallen in the two World Wars and more recent conflicts. During the visit, the Japanese Emperor and Empress took a tour of Westminster Abbey.

Another simple but effectively tailored suit from the Empress. The black detailing against the white is beautiful, and you couldn't get more traditional nor more elegant than the pearls. Nothing to say about the hat - they're always the same.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the empress will wear to the banquet tonight.
I saw a behind the scenes video (from Buckingham Palace) of the preparations for the banquet - the gold table settings being arranged, the style of the floral decorations, the chocolates, jellies and friandise being made and arranged, individual strawberry tarts on a plate..and Charles and Camilla walking about during the hustle and bustle, inspecting it all. It looks as grand as always.

I like this crisp black and white ensemble so much more than the lacy outfit the Empress wore earlier in the day. (V.M.)

I prefer this over the previous lace outfit - what a crisp, dignified and somewhat timeless ensemble. Not the biggest fan of the two-toned pumps, but extra points for the cute hat!

The black piping on the well tailored suit is perfect for the intention of the visit. Somber reflection as the wreath is laid.HM looks lovely in it.

Someone said the other day that the Emperor was not petite. Look at picture 3 and 4 and it is quite clear that the Emperor is shorter than his wife the Empress

Empress Masako, as always, dressed impeccably in crisp lines, colours that coordinate well, plus she is so beautiful, no matter that occasion.

Que o atual imperador e a atual imperatriz honrem a bandeira do sol poente. E que façam jus ao carisma de seus pais
