Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Oscar attended the opening of the exhibition named "World of Water" at the Swedish Museum of Natural History (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet) in Stockholm. The exhibition tells the story of life in the seas and the importance of water for our planet through four different themes, namely, water planet, organisms' adaptation to water, Swedish waters, and human impact on aquatic environments.
Nope.
ReplyDeleteSo nice outfit and I like her hair!
ReplyDeleteShe wore this dress before, didn't she? I think I saw it already and liked it. Again I think it is very pretty and suits her.
ReplyDeleteTrop mignon Oscar en compagnie de sa maman qui a su se coiffer d'une queue de cheval ; j'aimerais bien qu'elle continue sur sa lancée !
ReplyDeleteOscar is a handsome boy who looks like he enjoyed his outing with his mom. Love the wingspan picture.

No to this dress.
ReplyDeleteUgh!
ReplyDeleteThe pattern and long, pleated cut are giving major ‘80s Laura Ashley vibes, which is not a compliment. On the flip side, I’m very happy to see a ponytail again and photos of adorable Oscar enjoying the museum!
ReplyDeleteI for one always liked Laura Ashley!
DeleteCoralie, me too. I still have a light brown leather handbag of Laura Ashley and I wear it every now and then.
DeleteNice dress but I do not like the shoes
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mummy and cutest little boy. I really like Victoria’s relaxed summer look (although I’d like the look even better with flat shoes). - Grace
ReplyDeleteVery nice dress. I like the boat neckline, colour and overall design. Big NO to the ugly shoes.
ReplyDeleteFully agree.
DeleteAgree 100% Zofia
DeleteAn absolute nu. Too long, boring print and not very elegant shoes
ReplyDeleteThe actual dress is nice, but I don't like the print of the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI like Victoria's dress and sandals. Oscar looks good;how clever of Victoria to take Oscar with her; it is the children of the world who need to learn about the importance of water(Tara)
ReplyDeleteI love that dress for me, but not on a future Queen. It's a little retro in a 1960's housewife way.

Difficult to know how to dress for such an occasion.
DeleteDress down or dress up. The text at the top of the page
says Princess Victoria was “attending” the opening.
She wasn’t there to cut a ribbon, cut a cake or plant a tree.
She was on visit? with her son.
Whatever, I find the dress O.K. But the shoes 😖 I didn’t know that style still existed. Maybe we’re goin to see them return as a “come back retro” shoe. The worst I’ve ever seen is in my mother’s era, women wore them with stockings 😳
I see, in Prince Oscar, a lot of his dad. Straight, upright, young man.
I agree with @Tara “ it is the children of the world who need to learn about the importance of water.”
Such a pretty summer dress in a style that suits CPV very well. Her casual ponytail is perfect, but I wish she had chosen lighter coloured shoes and handbag. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI don't hate the dress, but I do not like the shoes at all. I think they ruin the look of the entire outfit. The shoes look too dark and clunky. A lighter, more summery looking shoe would have rescued this look. Loving the pony tail again. Oscar is adorable, especially in the wingspan picture.
ReplyDeleteNice on top but worse the further down you look. Hairstyle, neckline and bodice are great and I think the dress´s colour and pattern are ok. The skirt is too long and the shoes are rightout ugly (with this dress but largely on their own as well). The shoes also make little sense together with the (seemingly?) brown handbag.
ReplyDeleteStill, I like this whole outfit much better than the floaty floral prairie dresses. I´d much rather see her wear a simple cotton dress in a strong colour than layers of thin frilly, structureless pastell fabric.
Cuteness overload!
ReplyDeleteSuper mom in action.
ReplyDeleteHere in Stockholm has been 30 degrees 🥵 victoria has a summery look, I like her ponytail but big NO for the glumpy shoes
ReplyDeleteI think the colours of her dress are beautiful, especially the blue. The hair looks good and healthy and Oscar is very cute. A nice occasion.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vanessa. I'd made the dress shorter, I would wear a beautiful pair of sandals. There are so many beautiful sandals for the spring and summer this year, with all kind of lower heels and also espadrilles which would look lovely too with this dress. Little Oscar seems to be happy that he can visit the exhibition together with his mama. Her hair is looking good in that pony tail style. I didn't realize her pony tail was so long already, or she combined it with a hair extension.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Victoria uses extensions. It's all her own.
DeleteI like this dress on the crown princess.she will get a lot of wear out of it, and can even separate the top and bottom part and combine them with something in a solid colour to create new pieces. I too wish she had worn sandals.

Don't like this dress at all. Not the style and not the pattern, but Oscar is a cutie pie.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a fantastic centre that will educate a lot of children + youth, about their future role in caring for our planet especially with the importance that water has, for the survival of humans + organisms, animals + plant life. Crown Princess Victoria looked as lovely as ever. I liked her choice of dress, shoes + handbag. The bag picked up on the rusty burgundy colours within the blue dress. Wearing a blue dress to a Water Centre was apt too. Young Prince Oscar is growing up into an adorable youngster. I recall watching him at a celebration that was held outside. The Royal Family were all seated in the front. I think it was around Christmas time. It got to the stage where Oscar was clearly ready to go home, he was tired, bored + over having to sit upright in the chair. He ended up sprawling his leg bent up over the arm of the chair - almost spread eagle like. The best thing about it was that Princess Estelle looked at him, rolled her eyes, laughing as she pointed him out to her moma+papa, who responded by laughing heartily. They continued to watch the festival, whilst Oscar continued to flex between interested, bored, sleepy, excited - simply a child being a child, in a relaxed loving family. It reminded me of young Prince Louis with his parents, Prince William + Princess Catherine, at Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee, when Louis had recently turned Four, and managed to cope with four days if jam-packed activities - formal, informal, loud, new, exciting, overwhelming, etc... and Louis was simply a four year old child out with his family. It's just a shame that the world Median + Public tend to cast judgements in a harsh way on all members of the British Royal Family, whereas the same reactions, behaviours, from European Royal Families are tolerated with kindness, humour + understanding. Hopefully, the Media will wake up + respond universally with kindness, especially regarding children.
ReplyDeleteCP looks nice in the dress , but I would choose a different style purse over the shoulder bag. And please loose the shoes. They are very clunky looking and do not match with the feminine look of the dress. Like the more casual hair style.
