Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave an interview to the magazine Norsk Husflid, which is published by Norges Husflidslag (The Norwegian Folk Art and Craft Association). The interview was published in the magazine Norsk Husflid, which came out on Friday, June 28, and the interview is partly about handicrafts. The Crown Princess has become a passionate weaver in the past few years. Her great interest in weaving originated about four years ago.
The Crown Princess has spoken publicly about her new passion several times, most recently in a long NRK interview conducted in connection with her 50th birthday on August 19, 2023. In March, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited Raulandsakademiet in Vinje. Raulandsakademiet is a course and activity center located in the center of Rauland and is the place in Norway that offers the most courses in traditional crafts.
The Norwegian Folk Art and Craft Association is dedicated to promoting traditional handicrafts. The Norwegian Folk Art and Craft Association is a non-governmental organization with 19 regional and over 350 local member groups across the country. Since 1910, the organization has worked to enhance traditional craftsmanship, pass on craft skills, and share the joy of making.

ReplyDeleteMM is an amazing woman. Just read the tapestry on the wall is made by her, but the pillow is made by her mother. Also like her outfit. So nice to see how she live.
