On June 15, 2024, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Louise Windsor, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Princess Royal, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence and the Duke of Kent attended the King's Birthday Parade "Trooping the Colour" in central London. The annual military parade in London marks the King's official birthday.

I wish they would let Charlotte have a more attractive hairstyle for public events. Her hair is cute in the family photos they release..
ReplyDelete16:11, I think it’s a matter of opinion, possibly cultural?, on what looks cute. I find Charlotte’s hair here absolutely beautiful, natural and shiny and beautifully pulled back. Maybe you’re not from England and what you would style for a girl is different? - Grace
DeleteThis is a formal event
DeleteAttractivity is in the eye of the beholder ... I prefer this one to the "hair everywhere" style in the family photos.
Deletei like her style, Charlotte liked the dress last year so much so that she got it in another color
DeleteAnon 03.08, not sure what you are refering to? Do you a have link from last year?
DeleteHas the world actually gotten to the point here we pick on a little girl's neatly arranged hair? REALLY???????
DeleteShe's a little girl and this is an official event. The only thing apart from how she is wearing her hair here, which works well with the dress, is perhaps a French braid.
DeleteNice to see Kate again!
ReplyDeleteAt times the fatigue she must be experiencing was evident and she seems a little thinner than even before. I wouldn't have that was was possible. But this is one of her most elegant public daytime appearances since marrying in to the BRF. It would not have mattered to me if she had shown up in a burlap sack. She looked perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a valiant effort by the Princess of Wales!
I agree! The burlap would have been fine, I was just so relieved to see her. Bob.
DeleteI couldn’t agree more.
DeleteIndeed, a most stunning Princess of Wales! Kudos to her for her unwavering support! MR
DeleteGreat comment, I agree.
DeleteKate’s outfit looks so much like Hepburn’s in My Fair Lady where she is at the horse race.
ReplyDeleteExactly my thoughts. The striped bow seems to be reminiscing to a gown of Princess Diana worn in Saudi Arabia 1986 made by the Emanuels and to the white dress of Audrey Hephurn 1964 in the movie “My fair lady” for an Ascot scene. It seems that the Jenny Packham dress is the same dress from last year's coronation weekend pimped with the new striped details. The whole outfit, accessoires, make-up and hairdo where stunning, elegant and one of her best of all time.
DeleteI wish Kate all the best for a full recovery.
Yes, I thought the same thing! She looks absolutely superb ❤️ — Jane
DeleteYes, I too saw the similarities in her outfit.
Delete- Anon 9:13
Welcome back Kate, we've missed you!! She looks fantastic!! Love the outfit and the hat!! The children look great too especially P. Charlotte!! Happy Kate is getting better!!
ReplyDeleteCatherine - brave and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Kate again 😍
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks wonderful and I’m glad the Princess of Wales was well enough to attend with her family. I love her elegant, crisp, navy and white ensemble, especially the bow. Lady Louise looks incredibly poised and lovely.
ReplyDelete-Royal Watcher
As expected the Princess of Wales looks fabulous but I think most people, including me, would have been pleased to see her in a sack. Love Princess Charlotte’s sailor dress anw it mirrors her mother’s outfits. The princes smart outfits are perfect. The whole family looks fantastic. I like the Duchess of Edinburgh’s cheerful yellow. Have to say that I miss seeing the extended family of Kent’s, Yorks and Philips on the balcony but hopefully we’ll see them at occasional events like the recent garden party
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
I see no interest in seeing such a young person as an ill person. I guess "a sack" means a bed.
Delete@20:07 not sure what you gain by trying to twist such an innocent comment. @17:22 only meant that the mere presence of the Princess of Wales would cause many of us joy, no matter how simple or how beautiful her clothing was.
DeleteSorry, Mary T. It must be "lost in translation". :-) A sack, as in a hessian bag. something that holds potatoes! Same phrase used by Anon 16 20 above!
DeleteI'm so glad the princess is back, or trying to be back. I hope so much that she will make a full recovery. I always thought that chemotherapy always meant hair loss. It's always a special drama for women. It makes you look really ill. I'm learning and I'm glad that doesn't have to be the case anymore. Kate looks as good as ever, very nice day dress. Still, this must be a terribly scary time for everyone.
ReplyDeleteFrieda
Hair loss is dependent on the sustance that is used and the dosage. Not everyone experiences hair loss during chemo due to these 2 factors
DeleteKate is obviously one of the lucky on who has had access to a cooling hat during cemo. Not all woman has access to one, sadly. They prevent hair loss. PS there is also a lot of fabulous wigs these days. Kate would have access to the best of the best 😉
Paloma.
Everyone in his or her best looks!
ReplyDeleteThis must mean so much to them, to be there together today.
Great family
Lovely to see them all together again. Only the Earl of Wessex is missing, though it seems that he rarely attends these public royal events. The number of working royal family members making balcony appearances is down to only a core group now.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13

Lovely to see Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales at today’s Trooping of the Colours with her family. She looks elegant and beautiful. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with her. Stay strong Princess!
ReplyDeleteThank you Catherine for showing up! It must be a lot for a first appearance after recovery.
ReplyDeleteShe looks thinner than usual, but given the circumstances, she looks great!
I genuinely like the coordinated mother and daughter outfit, it might be a tad old fashioned, but probably the last chance to do it, Charlotte is of course getting older and will have more saying about her outfits.
I hope that she will be coming back for good.
Lady Louise looks very royal as well, I have the feeling that she will, eventually, choose to be a working royal. Time shall tell
Luna
DeleteThe Princess of Wales speaks volumes without saying a word. Her sartorial game is on point. White for new beginnings, simultaneously elegant and powerful. Brava!
ReplyDeleteВера 💚🦋
So nice to see the Pss of Wales. This is a fantastic look for her. Everybody looks nice. Sadly, there are only a few members of the family on the balcony. there. I think the King should have as many as he can place there for support. Nice to see Lady Kingston there as well. Pss's Beatrice and Eugenie had been a permanent fixture on the balcony. The children looked lovely no smile. css
ReplyDeleteWhere is Lady Kingston? I don't see her at all on the balcony.
Delete- Anon 9:13
@Anon 9:13 - Lady Gabriella was inside Buckingham Palace - you can see her through the open door behind the Duke of Kent in one of the balcony pictures. It looks like maybe she was wearing pink.
Delete-Royal Watcher
They all look well dressed. Less on balcony is okay, everyone is visible. This is a new monarch with a clear vision of the future.
DeleteKate the Great is back - she looked very slim and fragile and yet absolutely adorable. And yes, her outfit had something of My Fair Lady about it.
ReplyDeleteI love Catherine's outfit so stunning. Her dress design so simple & elegant I can only hope that some high street/chain store can knock off a few copies so the rest of us can buy a copy. I know I would only be too happy to buy. Let's hope so. Mary
ReplyDeleteAs we all are, so glad and relieved to see Kate back. Her dress, hair, makeup are superb and elegant like before. The children are dressed perfectly for the occasion. And I'm glad to see Lady Louise on the balcony. Hoping that after she graduates university, if she wants, she will join the ranks of working Royals whose members have been too thinned out. She has all the right qualities.
ReplyDeleteCatherine looks beautiful, love her hat and dress, very becoming. Love her pearl earrings and the addition of her brooch, a lovely finishing touch. So splendid to see her.
ReplyDeleteWell said.
DeleteThe Princess of Wales is stunning here--and this might be one of my favorite looks I have ever seen her wear for a formal daytime occasion. It is so wonderful to see her and I hope she continues to feel better and better. Everyone looks wonderful today! Sophie is lovely in her bright yellow; Louise is very pretty in her repeat blue and white floral and I love the hat she borrowed from Mom; Queen Camilla looks elegant in her traditional coat dress--and her hat is spectacular. All 3 Wales children look great--I love how Charlotte's dress reflect's Catherine's dress while the boys are wearing matching suits and ties albeit Louis is still in short pants. King Charles looks so good--happy and healthy! So good to see the Duke of Kent able to join in the balcony appearance. William and Edward look very handsome in their uniforms while Anne is, as always, perfect in her uniform.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Lovely comment, you make very good points.
DeleteLady Louise is looking like an old lady. Her mother Duchess Sophie is looking younger than her daughter.
ReplyDeleteJ'ai remarqué le chapeau de lady Louise peut-être prêté par maman, ce qui ne l'avantage pas du tout surtout avec la robe imprimée fleurie !
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful seeing Catherine, and she looks elegant as usual. I love her earrings. The children are always adorable and well dressed at these public events. I can't believe how grown-up George is. Lady Louise is a beautiful young lady, and I am glad she made an appearance. ~Louise
ReplyDeleteWe want to see more of the Princess Royal, Princess Anne!!!
ReplyDeletePrincess Kate is looking gorgeous though she is still ill. Step by step she becomes healthy and strong, but she cannot overtake herself in terms of speed.
ReplyDeleteHer look reminds me on HRH Princess Diana and HM King Fahd attend dinner Crown Prince Palace at Rawdah.
This was up-cycled dress from last years coronation events.I have to agree with the many, this has to be one of my all time favourite looks from Princess Catherine.
ReplyDeleteIt was not difficult to see her fragility today.I hope she takes all the time she needs to complete her treatment and to recover and grow strong.
The kids are just super cute.Princess Charlotte is already showing grace and charm.Prince Louis is a character. Prince George is looking more like Charles Spencer everytime I see him.
Lowri.
Kate looks beautiful! This outfit it's certainly one of her best looksI suppose her thinness may be a part of the process she's going through, so hopefully it will be temporary.
ReplyDeleteLady Louise is becoming an increasing and unexpected good surprise. She looks radious and beautiful, well done!
To say Princess Catherine looks fabulous, beautiful or perfect it is not enough to say because she looks all much above!
ReplyDeleteAva
The outfits look great ;however not very practical when rain was forecast;and the heavens opened up right at the end;a bit like Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh on the flotila on the Thames;next thing people are unwell as they are sitting or standing around in the rain.
ReplyDeleteThe occasion was brilliant;the King is very respectful of tradition(Tara)
What a blessing and pleasure it was to see the Princess of Wales. As expected she did not disappoint, and I like that she and Princess Charlotte were coordinated.
ReplyDeleteEveryone looked wonderful, from the ladies to the men and the children. It is always great to see lady Louise - like others, I'm hoping she will choose to do some royal engagements after graduation.
The Prince of Wales, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Princess Royal looked fantastic too, and I commend them, along with the soldiers for persevering through the rain. And of course, the King and Queen looked great too.
T
Must laugh what a pedestal we see here, remember she's just a normal human being like us all. Yes, it's good to see her again, and yes, she looks lovely, but to be real there was photos of her looking like she wanted to be miles away, and that is completely understanding too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. Everyone is acting as though the PoW is the only person who has ever suffered through cancer. Admittedly, it is sad for he, r or any individual to go through that. But keep in mind that most people endure the illness and treatment without a nanny, able family members, or a wealth of resources to help . Instead many try to hold down a job at the time of their treatment and often while incurring heavy debt. My comments are not cruel - just keeping it real.
Delete@ Virginia Dogwood...ehm...
ReplyDeleteYes, you are exactly right .
Not everyone can rely on a dedicated medical team and a personal staff.
I understand you may have passed through this kind of illness and related treatment.
If so, I also pray for your complete healing.
But you see, not everyone has an institutional role and is somehow forced to make public announcements about their cancer diagnoses and chemio treatments.
Not everybody is forced to accept being constantly under public scrutiny.
I guess this entails loads of additional personal strength , resilience and, above all, a huge amount of dignity.
If people love you to extent the Princess of Wales is loved and admired worldwide, she owes them at least a modicum of public thank you feedback .
That's exactly what she did when she came up on the occasion of the Trooping the Colours ceremony.
Both she and King Charles have public duties to perform , they can't live far from the public eye forever.
Nobody will ever know how they really feel and nobody can judge their pains or even desperation.
Nobody will ever know how those public appearances cost them in terms of physical and psychological efforts.
Nobody is entitled to belittle them just because they live in a privileged environment.
How exactly is belittleging not agreeing with the point of view of putting her on a pedestal?
