Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh visited Rutland, and toured Oakham Castle, the recently unveiled statue of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and The Duke of Edinburgh Memorial Orchard. The Duke and Duchess first visited Rutland Show Ground, one of the oldest Country Shows organized in the United Kingdom.
Thereafter, the Duke and Duchess toured Oakham Castle, the oldest court in the country, which claims to be the finest surviving example of Norman domestic architecture in Europe. The Duke and Duchess also toured the late Duke of Edinburgh’s Memorial Orchard.
On May 15, 2024, The Duchess of Edinburgh visited The Seashell Trust in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester. Seashell supports children and young adults with complex learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional communication needs from across the UK.
À beautifull blazer on a strange pair of trousers. A very good coat on the first visit
ReplyDeleteI love Sophie's coat but to me the orange bag and the white shoes are a missmatch.
ReplyDeleteI like the white blazer. The fabric (tweed ?)of the trousers looks more like something to wear during Winter. It is probably not very warm where they are, but with the lighter fabric of the white blazer it doesn't match. I like the cream handbag.
ReplyDeleteThe short white coat is lovely too, but she is wearing the wrong socks. They are too dark to wear with white shoes. Lucky she didn't had to wear a uniform look a like this time.
I like Sophie’s white jacket, but I’m not sure about the choice of trouser. They look like lounging trousers.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st look with the coat is perfect for the outdoors, though the orange bag lets down the overall look.
Lowri.
Il n'y a que son superbe blazer qui soit à mon goût surtout à porter avec une autre sorte de pantalon !
ReplyDeleteAs so often these days they are under-dressed. The people receiving them are in uniform or suits and dresses and the Duchess is so casual it is disappointing!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with Cate.
ReplyDeleteGood look for Dss Sophie, minus the bag. css
ReplyDeleteThe white jacket is beautiful, quality and perfect fit. Not so sure of the tweed pants though bit of a miss mash. The Duke looks well groomed and attired. What a marvellous visit.
ReplyDeleteLove the blazer although it looks a bit tight, the pants are ugly, the first outfit is ok….sometimes Sophie looks perfect and other times it’s a bit of a mess, supposedly Sophie loves her outfits so who am I to judge.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful jacket and it fits Sophie perfectly. Although we can't tell from the photos, Sophie is a great speaker. This means not only a pleasant voice and pronunciation, but he speaks to the point and does not use any "word salad" and phrases, as is the custom with some celebrities.(personal experience)
ReplyDeleteStephanie
The white Altuzarra blazer looks gorgeous . The pants not so much. Do not like the first outfit, the coat misses some tailoring. With the orange bag she looks like she ist just out on a rainy day doing some errands.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Edward. Sophie is lovely as usual, the orange bag is a nice pop of colour with her outfit of the day.
ReplyDeleteWould have been nice to see The Princess Royal at the Garden Party, she had on a fabulous outfit.
