I love it all - especially the return of Maxima's signature large hat.
The subtle colours of the ensemble (Including her bouquet) are pretty, and are a lovely segue from Spring into Summer.
    Maxima at her best.

It's a rewear, but I still like it on QM

I think this is a splendid outfit for Q. Max. The pattern is lovely, the colours are good and the fit is excellent. I think the hat and earrings finish it off beautifully. (V.M.)

  11. Beautiful outfit. Queen Maxima looks fantastic. The dress is great (Natan has to get it right occasionally!) and the hat is wonderful. Perfect summery outfit.

    1. I fully agree, and think Natan is more often attractive than said here. Of course Natan has its good and not so good, and often not conventional. But a strong own originality.

I have always loved this dress and the hat! The dress is gorgeous and the hat is perfect. I think this one the best Nathan designs--its floaty and feminine. I also love the Ole Lynggaard earrings--I love this pair plus the ones owned by Queen Mary. Queen Maxima looks elegant and beautiful--and so regal too.

    Why the one glove?

Because a lady put on one glove on her left hand and wears the right glove in her left hand, so that her right hand has no glove when she has to shake hands with the people she is meeting. That is what I have been told as a young girl and what one has to do to be polite.

In some countries (the Netherlands is one), it’s considered rude to shake hands with a gloved hand. So, the Queen has taken off her right glove to be ready to shake hands with people. Often she carries it in her (still gloved) left hand, but sometimes she puts it in her handbag.

  17. Its nice to see a rewear of this very pretty and feminine dress. The hat in this instance works in well. The earrings are lovely.

If dresses of 2018 are outdated, how do we have to call Princess Anne's dresses : medieval ? If it was my dress, I'd made it shorter. I prefer this dress and the similar one of Queen Mathilde than the old fashion cotton dresses with little flowers that the royal ladies of Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and less Denmark) seems to favor.

If you think this is the kind of stuff grannies wear, then I wish more grannies would dress like this.

Not fond of the dress, appears 'granny-ish' for lack of a better word, the earrings are over kill, and the hat is too wide.
    Edwina.
At least her hair is not visibly a mess.
