On May 26, 2024, Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, race winner Charles Leclerc and his girlfriend, Alexandra Saint Mleux attended the gala dinner of the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco 2024. The event took place at the Monte-Carlo Sporting in Monaco. Prince Charles, Princess Camilla, Princess Maria-Carolina and Princess Maria Chiara of Bourbon were also present at the gala dinner. Ferrari's Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc won the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. Leclerc is the first Monegasque person to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco.
Love this shade of red, too bad of the metallic silver tank top. Without that this would have been 'n wonderfull look
ReplyDeleteIts like two dresses in one.
DeleteHad the red dress been without the silver part, it would be lovely. If it had been a sleeveless sheath of silver, it would be lovely. But as it is, it just doesn't work. She is looking happy & healthy again - which is what matters
DeleteI agree. Without the strange and unnecessary silver top it would have been yet another smashingly elegant appearance from HSH! I cannot talk enough about how much I love her hair in this style-
DeleteI agree with you. The silver embellishments I don't like at all and spoiled the look of this gorgeous red gown.
DeleteAgree with all these comments. A red off the shoulder dress would have been stunning, a silver column dress quite acceptable too! However, as Anon 15:41 says, the fact that Princess Charlene looks so well and happy is the biggest plus point
DeleteAnnieM
Whilst red looks great on Charlene I think the silver bit looks odd.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide if its part of the dress or large elaborate jewellery.
Charlene is looking quite good, however I am not a fan of the red gown. Not sure about the association of red material and the silver top.
ReplyDeleteOn another site they say that Princess Charlene's gown is from the Louis Vuitton fashion house.
DeleteOh no, what an odd dress. I do not like it at all. But her hairstyle and make up looks good. I hope she is growing out her hair again.
ReplyDeleteT
Charlene looks fabulous! I love her dress! She is a real style icon.
DeleteDesigner of Princess Charlene's dress was out of any more ideas.
ReplyDeleteAva
Charlene is wearing color and Loads of it. I wish it was burgundy to tone down the brightness.
DeleteSabsi
Nor too fond of this dress because of the abrupt line carried over to the sleeves. Perhaps better without the sleeves and red gloves instead.
ReplyDeleteAgree with that Idea ...Ladyofthemanor
DeleteI agree. It seems the sleeves make it look unbalanced
DeleteHmmmm … if you position the photo of Charlene on your screen so you only see silver and up - or only red and down - looks fabulous either way. But stuck together, it’s hard to see what what the designer was aiming for. - Grace
ReplyDeleteI must say she looks amazing always elegant and different, so must more styled to the other dresses worn,,
ReplyDeleteI agree: she dares to wear different gowns, less classic than other royals. I really like that about her. I understand the comments: not so much about the colour combination but the top part with the bare shoulders makes her look boxy, it could have been a more flattering dress. However, I do like the dress and her outfit overall. The added sparkles are very original.

Not my favourite of Princess Charlene’s evening gowns. However her diamond earrings had me take a sharp in take of breath! They’re stunning.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like she’s started to darken her hair again, which doesn’t suit her.The lighter color I think always looks so youthful and flattering on her.
Lowri.
Charlene's dress looks very unbalanced to me. The red part looks fine, but the metallic part looks like steel wool. I think there's too much of it. Less of it, or even just a sneak peak of it somewhere would have been better. Worn as it is, it looks like she's wearing a vest of chain mail under the dress.

Oh Charlene you are such a glamorous lady at times, but honestly whoever advises you on your hote couture, needs replacing. The dress does absolutely nothing for you, it cuts you off across the shoulders and makes you look too wide, and it enhances your athleticism in the wrong way. The dress would have been far better had you had it with a low neck line of lace same color as the dress extending down your arms into a v at the top off the middle finger. Lace and chiffon always makes a dress flow better and softer for the wearer.
ReplyDeleteRed looks great on Charlene, but the visual effect of the sudden transition from red to silver and the cutout shoulders is jarring on this dress.

No this is a fashion faux pas imo
ReplyDeleteThere are several ways to improve Charlene’s outfit: leave off the metal piece completely, or change the metal piece to the red of the same fabric. It still wouldn’t look great, but better. I still wouldn’t like those shoulder holes.
ReplyDeleteor change color of the bottom part to black, grey, dark red
DeleteI am not feeling Princess Charlene's gown, She had been on a roll until now. why do I get the feeling the royal ladies of bourbon look like television reality stars more than they do royals. Also the ladies always do these Paris Hilton poses.....(NOCD!! Not our class Dahling!!)
ReplyDeleteThey might call themselves "royal", but as far as I know they aren't. And you are right about their ridiculous loses!
DeleteRidiculous poses, I wanted to say.
DeleteA very strange dress. Not a favourite for me. Although the colour red does her good. I am so glad that Charlene has longer hair. It looks so charming
ReplyDeletePhoto N°6 The “Royal” family of Prince Charles, the Prince of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and his wife, Princess Camilla the Duchess of Castro. They have two daughters , Princess Maria Carolina and Princess. Maria Chiara.
DeleteIn case you need help, the mother is in the red dress and the two daughters on the right and on the left in the photo.
Rarely seen on NewMyRoyals but often seen on other Royal sites where they get a lot of criticism for their barbie doll look/s.
They seem to follow a “bling-bling” look with their wardrobes.
Prince Charles, the father, always has a “bored-to-death” look about him.
The family lives between Paris, Rome and MonteCarlo. The family has, what they call, a “Chateau” in Saint-tropez.
I like @FITZHUGH’s comment about television reality stars and Paris Hilton poses.
On a positive note, I think Princess Camilla supports a lot of charities.
Some photos of their fashion style can be found via …..

Thanks @deadeggs, I had no idea who these people are. Wow! These operetta royals sure through those princess titles around like candy 👸 💃🏻😄
Delete@Beth
DeleteYou may call them operetta royals but the title Prince of Bourbon-Two Sicillies is a real noble title. They are related to other royal families in Europe, but since their kingdom got lost due to revolutions, they only have their family name and title and a lot of money. They are not the only royal family whose kingdom doesn't exist anymore. I have to look it up to which royals they are related, don't know the real story.
@Beth
DeleteThe complete History of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicillies can be found on "Wikipedia" in English.

First bad dress ever
ReplyDeleteVery weird dress...
ReplyDeleteA big no!
ReplyDeleteThe red gown is stunning, I even like the long sleeves, but the embellishments of the gown I dislike. It spoiled the overall look of this gown. She has the height to wear this so beautifully. Her hair and makeup are on point.
ReplyDeleteAwkward! The red part of the dress is sooo beautiful on Pss Charlene. Maybe she can have that metallic part removed for future wear.
ReplyDeleteMrs Cleaver
Is it wrong to notice that someone is wearing a see-through dress? It’s pretty but ooh lala…
ReplyDeleteCVC
Is it see-through?
DeleteAll I can say is, "What was she thinking!?" Oh, my bad! OBVIOUSLY she WASN'T!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy does he always look like his coats are too small! He needs to lose weight or get a new tailor
ReplyDeleteI read an article that Louis Vuitton was re-creating the Monaco flag when designing Princess Charlene's gown. It was inspired by the flag!
ReplyDeleteComments so funny can,t stop 😂 laughing
ReplyDeleteI'm jumping on the band wagon--this dress is not a success. If the red could be switched to black or even navy this would have worked but the red is all wrong. I wish it were a one or the other--all red or all silver. Red is a fabulous color for Charlene and she can certainly pull off the bling-looking sparkly silver. Still, even in this odd dress, Charlene looks elegant and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJanet
I love P. Charlene's dress! It's RED and it's SPARKLY and it's NOT BLACK!! Hey I think her dress choices have improved 100%!! I hope she continues going for color and pizazz!! And I love P. Camilla's and her two daughter's choices too!! They're cute!! They may not have the gravitas of say...P. Catherine of Wales but hey I'll take it!!
ReplyDeleteNice red gown, not a fan of the top, looks a bit out of place. The guests are nicely dressed as well. css
ReplyDeleteI thought the "frozen shoulder" style was not fashion any more.
