On May 22, 2024, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi attended the screening of "The Count of Monte Cristo" during the 77th annual Cannes film festival at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. The Count of Monte Cristo (Le Comte de Monte-Cristo) is an adventure novel written by French author Alexandre Dumas completed in 1844. It is one of the author's most popular works, along with The Three Musketeers.
Simple, classic, quietly stylish. Good looking couple.

what happened to Pierre's curls!!
ReplyDeleteBeatrice looks classy as always
P. E. R. F. E. C. T. I. O. N!!
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteToo bad these two are so horribly unphotogenic (joking).
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking he's the better dressed out of the two. It's not that her dress is bad its just a bit underwhelming considering the venue/event. This is one of the few places she could have really gone over the top and worn a true "statement dress."
They do not need to go ooverrrr the top, to show off, pretende THEY ARE CLASDIC RIYSL@!!!!!
DeleteYou don't need to YELL and my opinion is *my* opinion. I'm entitled to it the same way you are with yours. Calm down. Chill out.
DeleteWhat a beautiful pair. Love the clean but feminine lines of Beatrice’s gown which, a bit surprisingly in Spring, looks like velvet. Perhaps it’s a heavy silk? But really lovely with the diamonds. Pierre’s deep blue jacket and black satin lapels combine well with his wife’s overall look.

DeleteI think she wears this dress because she had it already in her wardrobe since last Winter or earlier. And also because this color (aubergine ?) as well as burgundy is fashion this Spring.
Wouah, quel couple magnifique.
Paloma.
Long neck
ReplyDeleteMm
A long neck is considered as a beauty mark just like long legs. I wished my neck was longer, so that I could wear sweaters with a polo neck in Winter. Cosy and warm.
DeleteElegant like a swan!
DeleteBeatice's gown looks nice, but I find it a bit bland/basic to look at. The rich velvet is beautiful, but a strange choice in Spring? Her jewels look nice, but are they diamonds or ? they don't stand out, yes up close, pretty but that's about all. Her makeup is on point, but her hair is hanging and not well groomed or stylish for that matter. Overall she doesn't look elegant or polished. Pierre on the other hand looks superb. Well attired and groomed. He is a very handsome man. They are a good looking couple.
ReplyDelete@Ava,Pierre is handsome, I think he resembles Daniel Craig.
DeleteJoanne. 14.50 Agree with you. He is very handsome, now that you mention it yes there is a resemblance. Pierre does remind me of his mother.
DeleteStunning couple! They are the epitome of elegance and they both look fabulous at this event. Really like the cut on her dress and, of course, the gorgeous jewels are the cherry on top!
ReplyDeleteAn Italian beauty with inbred class.
ReplyDeleteA good choice for the occasion, simple and elegant.
Madam Borromeo takes some risks at times with her fashion choices but she always comes out smiling.
@ deadeggs
DeleteIt is Madame Casiraghi (maiden name Borromeo).
@Anon 11:54
DeleteThanks for making the point.
But it gets confusing as in most European countries women are not obliged to take on the name of their husband when they marry.
Don’t know what the situation is in Monaco.
Maybe she wants to keep her maiden name as she is from a noble Italian family but she is considered an illegitimate child as her parents who were a comte and comtesse were not married when she was born; hence, she has no title to her name.
@deadeggs
DeleteIt is just the opposite in most European countries women do/did take on the name of their husband. Maybe today the young couples who wish to get married have the choice which name comes first (there are not much couples who still marry today). In the US, I know that women had/have the choice of keeping the name of their former husband after a divorce.
Today children whose parents are not married when they are born are legitimate too. As long as they are recognized officially by the father of the child. I don't know if it is legal everywhere, but in most West-European countries it is. What I also know is that some aristocratic titles can only be inherited by a male child or that a person who earned an aristocratic title during his life cannot pass it on to his son or daughter after his death.
Thank you @Anon 15:19 for the information.
DeleteThere is an interesting article in the magazine “Gala” where Beatrice Borromeo gives details of her family life.
Her father, in fact, had two wives and lived with both at the same time. One he was married to and the other was his live-in companion for many years.
He never married his companion and Beatrice was the fruit of their relationship. She was considered to have been born out of wedlock and therefore received no title. She has half sisters who have titles .
They have all made good marriages into aristocracy and money.
Beatrice’s mother is a very beautiful woman and her father is a handsome man.
I think ?? they are both still alive and live in Italy and Switzerland.
A link to the article via ……. But note, it is in French you could probably get it into English with the help of your computer;

I know that Pierre's sister Charlotte certainly is a good looking woman, no doubt. But how she presented herself at Cannes is miles off from how her brother Pierre and his wife Beatrice presented themselves. Both, Pierre and Beatrice, as so often, are truly a sight to behold. Beatrice Borromeo-Casiraghi truly is a fashion icon, in a very classic sense and way.
ReplyDeleteDSC, that is exactly why I see no sense in comparing the two women. Beatrice wants to please the audience. She is the "You find me beautiful, don't you?"-type. Charlotte is a free spirit. She has nonchalance and does not look for applause.
DeleteAs a matter of fact they are both natural beauties of course.
Coralie, Charlotte „does not look for aplause“? She is on the red carpet and stands there for being seen…
DeleteWhat a good looking couple, though I’m not sure that Pierre wasn’t even better looking with longer hair
ReplyDeleteVery classy. css
ReplyDeleteI'm in the minority here, but I don't like Beatrice's dress. I don't know why though.
ReplyDeleteT
In fact this couple look more like aristocrats than Charlotte, Stephanie and her children and in laws.
ReplyDeletePour moi elle reste un porte manteau
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
@ Froufrou
DeleteEh bien, il y en a 2 dans la famille un porte manteau pas bien entretenu et un joli porte manteau bien entretenu avec des cheveux qui sont biens lavés, coiffées, etc...
Happy and satisfied looks different to me!
ReplyDeleteI must confess that I'm a bit disappointed.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice is such a natural and exquisite beauty that she could/ should have opted for a more spectacular ensemble.
Anyway, she and Pierre make a wonderful couple.
She is a total stunner and a real beauty.
