Japanese Princess Kako arrived in Greece. The official visit is made to mark the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries Japan and Greece. On May 25, Princess Kako departed from Haneda Airport to Greece. On May 26, Princess Kako visited the Acropolis in Athens, where she took a walking tour of the Erechtheion and the Parthenon.
On May 27, Princess Kako visited Acropolis Museum in Athens. Princess Kako then attended a commemorative ceremony for the 125th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Greece at the National Gallery in Athens.
So where are these so called ”greece royals” in all of this..
ReplyDeleteDo Greece have a monarchy? Where do we think the private Greek family is in the Republic of Greece?
Delete“Greece royals”? Greek royals? Exiled decades ago and living in the UK, still holding onto royal titles which can no longer be used in Greece. - Bob
DeleteNot really Bob the late King, Queen and prince Nikolaos has lived in Greece since 2013, and Pavlos and Marie-Chantal share their time by staying in New York, London and Greece.
DeleteEither way it would have been pleasant to see them receive her, but maybe they’re not in a position to do so. There was a speculation of Pavlos with family moving to Greece after his fathers passing..
DeleteAh, la revoilà, elle me manquait. Quel régal que de la voir peu importe qu'elle soit vêtue de façon formelle ou plus décontractée ; elle me fait penser à un bonbon fondant !
ReplyDeleteGreat to se her in the formal beautiful kimono. I would have loved to see a back view of her obi. As an unmarried, young woman it will be very intricately tied. I like her white pants and top. Youthful. The arrival suit is more standard Imperial Household design but the colour is pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove all her outfits. She has the best smile.
ReplyDeletePrincess Kako is wearing outfits that are very appropriate for the occasion, the colours suit her well. I love that she's coming to Europe! She looks so lovely and interested in everyone around her.
ReplyDeleteDamsel Dragonfly
Oh how lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like all three outfits, but I love the kimono and her traditional styling look for wearing it, as well as the rose/peach skirt suit. Beautiful, stylish, simple, traditional...all these are reflected perfectly between her three outfits. I'm so glad to see that she is taking a bigger role in the Imperial family engagements and representations, especially these international ones.

The traditional outfit, stunning in colour/fabric

Nice bright colours and a beautiful kimono !!
Paloma.
I love her choice of outfits! Bright colors are so pretty on her. Her kimono is beautiful and I love the hairstyle she has chosen for it--very elegant! Princess Kako is a treasure for the Imperial family--I really hope they can figure out a way to keep her as an active member if/when she marries. It would awful to lose her to the rules currently in place.

Totally agree with Janet!
DeleteYes, it will be awful if she is sent into exile should she marry a “commoner”. Her sister was thrown out with the dishwater when she married a commoner.
DeleteI don’t think her mother will be too happy if she loses her second daughter because of Imperial Royal rules.
3 lovely outfits. Gorgeous kimono.
ReplyDeleteAgree. So much more up to date than previous choices from the Japanese royals. The trousers and top are the best look of the visit

With her radiant smile she looks beautiful in all her outfits. The Kimono is beautiful, I particularly like this one. Her delicate pearl necklace worn with her first outfit and brooch are a lovely addition.
ReplyDeleteKako looks great & stylish in those pants & top. Love the coat dress. It is gorgeous from the front, delicate. I think Kako has great style considering the restrictions. Mary
ReplyDelete@Mary. I agree
DeletePrincipessa adorabile, l'outfit scelto per la visita al Partenone la rendono contemporanea dando il meglio di lei, nonostante sia un pantalone bianco gamba larga con maglia viola. Brava Kako.

Nice smile and outfits. Do love the Kimono. Sadly, no invite for any of the Greek RF. Would be nice to see Ann Marie there or Nicolaos maybe? css
ReplyDeleteIt'd have been weird to invite any of them as they hold no official position in Greece. I have Greek friends and according to them the ex-royals are not much liked either, so it was only wise to leave them out./Grace
