I like the dress, and applaud QL for her overall style and dress sense, but today's accessories don't match. The white bag, the too intensely pink shoes, the pale earrings-none of these enhance or complete the look, they actually add a disharmonious note. S.M.

It’s quite a pretty dress but I think the v-neck and the ruching would flatter a curvier woman much more than our very slender Q. Letitia. (V.M.)

My immediate thoughts as well. Rusching does not complement Letizia's slender frame at all.

Although it fits the model better than QL, I don't like the ruching on this dress.
Fabric and color look summery and lovely but not the design.

What a beautiful dainty rose shade for this ruched dress!
    Really like it, well done.

      Amy, the Dane replying:
This is really Danish in writing.
Try not to make a fool of yourself - yet again, P. the original.

If you were a real native Dane , you would have never written this senseless comment.
Ok, your translator still works well and you think you' ve given some kind of proof by writing in Danish.
No, things are totally different for Danes speaking real Danish.
You should know that there is a huge difference between written and spoken Danish, the latter being the very hard stuff to cope with.
Spoken Danish is a world of its own with extremely hard and tricky ways of tying words together .
The way words are pronounced is crucial.
Maybe you' ve read somewhere that Danish Is flat and It may sound this way in formal speeches/ conversations.
Everyday spoken Danish is the most tricky thing one can happen to listen to and understand.
When a native Dane speaks in informal contexts like the ones I usually happen to experience in my job or all over Denmark , then a sort of jumping from one word to another is perfectly audible.
You know, Danish grammar is quite simple after all, the real problem is how spoken Danish is pronounced and this can make an enormous difference in terms of an effective communication with native people.
It takes quite some time before a non native Dane gets acquainted with some " mysteries" of spoken Danish.
Pss Marie and Queen Mary have to speak formal Danish due to their institutional roles and the duties they have to perform on behalf of the Danish Royal House.
They both are non native Danish speakers and they both are quite good at pronouncing the language, which may sound slower/ flatter than the usual rhythm you can find in everyday informal spoken conversations.
When I mentioned a Frenchy accent
in Pss Marie' s video, I just meant that she has a sweet intonation not to be normally found in formal spoken Danish.
Now, could you please stop your pointless comments based on what your translator- which is nothing but a machine and not a human being interacting with Danes/ Swedes in person- suggests you so that you can produce unreal comments on this blog?
Hope you' ll spend your time on funnier activities and not on the creation of further comments... in Norwegian!
      Please, stop it, seriously.
I know Scandinavian languages as I had to learn them due to my job. You do not need to pretend to be a Scandi native speaker whatever nor have you to prove anything whatsoever.
I' m intentionally skipping over your usual and easily recognizable nasty tone irrispective of the signature you want to add to your anonymous talks.
      Thank you.
      Gotta leave now.
You see, I just can't linger on this blog the way you do as I have to work .
      Bye.

Amy, don't bother. The schoolyard bully is out and about again. If you wrote in Swahili, she'd be an expert on Swahili. The ramblings are getting more senseless and aggressive. People are called liars and accused of substance abuse, yet her behaviour is accepted. Allowing her to attack other commenters doesn't reflect well on this board.

@Amy. I wonder if she is as smart as she pretends to be, why does she not answer in Danish to you ? She said she studied the language. It would be an excellent occasion to prove her knowledge.
What I also have been asking myself : Is this real ? Is she doing it on purpose to read the reactions of different people ? Are there more persons involved in this "joke" (if I may call it like that).

-Dorothe-

Pretty dress, I've used a similar print on a project. I think the white purse is alright, but the shade of pink on the shoes is off. Christine

  9. The dress is very pretty, the ruching and v neck suit her but not many people could wear this dress well. The pink shoes I like but not the white bag. The earrings, not sure what they are, but not much impact from them.

    1. We have seen on several occasions that Qn Letizia is not really a jewelry lady. IMV difficult to imagine a brooch on this soft dress. I am not terribly fan of this dress by the way.

  12. I've been hoping for something brighter for Queen Letizia but, while this is a great spring colour, I'm not sure it's the most flattering outfit for her. She definitley suits sleeker styles than this.

Love this dress! I normally don’t care for fussy dresses, like Alessandra Rich designs, but for some reason I always love this on QL. As others mentioned, the cut would work great on a curvier shape but I think she looks just fantastic as well. I love the shoes too! The coordinate but don’t match, which is what some strive for in an outfit. Not a fan of white purses or shoes, but it’s a better option than matching the shoe color.

Queen Letitia looks pretty in pink! I like her dress except I am not a fan of the ruching all the way to the hemline. I love her choice of shoes--a bit of bright pink to go with rose pink shades in the dress. Not a fan of her white purse but glad to see she didn't go all matchy-matchy with her accessories. Maybe something taupe or beige? I love the bit of curl added to her hair--it adds a softness in keeping with the soft, flowy look of her dress.

Hate this dress. If she wants to revisit the 1980s, I have a whole wardrobe she can peruse.
Really, she’s usually on target, but this is not an attractive dress. I hope it’s comfortable or has another redeeming quality.

Hope the ruching on the dress doesn’t collect dust as it does when you have curtains done with ruching.
