On April 9, Queen Silvia bought the year's first Mayflower pin (Majblomman), at the Royal Palace. This year, Elsa Bellman Falk and Kebba Mbye had the honour of selling the first Mayflower pin to Queen Silvia. Mayflower is a nonprofit organisation with the mission to decrease the impact of child poverty in Sweden. Mayflower ’s work is financed by thousands of children that sell "majblomman" - a small flower pin - each year in April.
We have seen this suit many times and its colour and material looks very good on Queen Silvia
ReplyDeleteNot a new outfit but it’s smart, elegant, a lovely colour and texture and suits Queen Silvia perfectly.

ReplyDeletein Sweden!
Toujours élégante dans ce costume porté sur un chemisier de couleur violette !
ReplyDeleteEach year Queen Silvia is buying a "Mayflower" pin to support the non profit organization in their work to decrease child poverty. What a wonderful tradition.
ReplyDeleteNice outfit.
I hope Victoria or the other RL will continue with this tradition. When the Q is not doing it anymore, due to illness, or old age. She is 80 now and still going strong. css
