On April 22, Queen Mary of Denmark inaugurated the hiking trail in Hannenov Forest on the island of Falster, Denmark. Hannenov Forest on Falster has a new marked hiking trail of 5 km, named Virketvolden Round. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 2 h 9 min to complete. The tour winds its way past an Iron Age fortification and old oak trees.
Great outfit for a day on the countryside; QM looks great
ReplyDeleteMary looks properly dressed for a hike in cooler weather. The raspberry toque adds a lovely colour dimension to her outfit.

You must be Canadian! … hadn’t realised before! Yes she - like all the royals we follow - looks absolutely at her best when simply clean and substantially unstyled with hiking boots on! (Grace)
Delete@Grace: lol! I am indeed Canadian :)

' Anon 9:13 Queen Mary always dresses properly for the occasion. Did you enjoy the comedy Schitts Creek. I just loved it, especially Catherine O'Hara as the fashionista icon Moira Rose a great Canadian. I am from the USA!
DeleteAs a fellow Canadian, I feel compelled to add my two cents here.. 🙂. Mary (and her tuque) look lovely and yes, she is always appropriately dressed. There’s an humbleness about her too, which is very appealing to me (I already confessed to my canadianess, no surprise here).
DeleteI didn’t realize people outside Canada watch some of our silly comedies. But I guess some of the humour is universally appreciated (I’ll say some of it is the type where you have to live here to savour it completely though).

@Fitzhugh: Yes, big fan of Schitts Creek here, lol.
DeleteI've been enjoying Cathering O'Hara and Eugene Levy ever since their SCTV days (including the wonderful Andrea Martin), and now we also get to enjoy the talents of the Levy children (Dan and Sarah) in this crazy and funny show. Canadian TV getting it right :)

Nice outfit for outdoors. The raspberry hat adds a nice bit of color and looks good on her.
ReplyDeleteVêtue et chaussée comme il se doit pour une randonnée dans la forêt ; j'aime beaucoup le rajout de son bonnet de couleur framboise !
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know why Frederik hasn’t appeared in public for an engagement in a very long time? I know he stepped outside with his mother on her birthday, but otherwise nothing in weeks.
ReplyDeleteHe actually has been doing a lot of engagements on his own for organisations under his patronage. Just not featured on this blog since this blog is about fashion on the female side, and therefore we only get to see the men if they are on engagements together with their wives.
DeleteIf you look at other sites such as Palace blogs, Royal family blogs, etc. You will see the work that all the men are doing in solo engagements, including Frederik.

She is amazing! I love her picture with the owl!

Queen Mary looks marvelous in her sporty outdoor wear--love the reddish pink toboggan as a pop of color. The photos with the owl are great--she looks very natural and interested in the beautiful bird.

I bet she can walk like a queen haha.
ReplyDeleteI think she can and will wear such clothes in spare time ( with the horses) with this comfortable style.
I do think she upped her fashion game lately from the time being queen.
More vibrant and juicy, yummy haha.
She looks good in purple, blue, white....maybe she is a winter-type qua coloring?
-Anna-
I love owls.
