As patron of the National Autism Association, Danish Princess Marie sent a video greeting to mark World Autism Day. The video was released on the Danish National Autism Association's YouTube channel. Every year, on April 2, the global awareness event of World Autism Day is observed to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This special day aims to support people suffering from autism.

i admire Royals who adapt a new culture and speak the language fluently.
ReplyDeleteSo do I! But often seen as a sine qua none prerequisite for popularity.

Wow, Princess Marie looks fabulous and her message has a remarkable impact.
ReplyDeleteShe speaks Danish with such a sweet Frenchy accent, lovely.
I can hardly detect that kind of " merry jumping" native Danes usually show when speaking- at least this is how it sounds to my ears- still she is quite good at such a difficult language.
Keep up with your excellent job, dear Princess Marie, that's s what counts most of all!
Actually, speaking as a Dane, Princess Marie's Danish is flawless - with no hint of a 'sweet Frenchy accent'. Danish as a language is 'flat', while the Swedes and Norwegians 'sing', and Princess Marie does a sweet rendition of that. Amy
DeleteP. the original. Lovely to read your comments again. I agree with you about Pss Marie. Hope you are well and all is fine in your part of the world.
DeleteHugs x
I like that term, "merry jumping." I've never heard it before but it is a good way of describing it. Thank you.
Delete@Anonymous as Amy at 18:07.
DeleteNow you are a Dane?😁😜
Credit where credit is due: you didn't get it right, not even a damn single thing , not one, just zero out of zero about the languages you mentioned.
Please try again😂
If you want ,I' ll send you some free tickets for a holiday in the Scandinavian countries, for the first time in your life.
Then, you' ll learn something...maybe...
Please, put your glass down and hit the sack now..
Anyway, thank you for entertaining the bloggers, much appreciated👍
Bye.
Oh, by the way ...your comment later on at 19:42 was much more true and with a grip on reality.
Thank you.

DeleteDear Ava, thank you so much.
You are always so kind to me!
Yes, I'm doing well, thank you.
How are you?
Hugs from me too x
Amy 18:07. May I ask you how Queen Mary's Danish is? Is she fluent? With an accent? I'd appreciate your answer. Thanks in advance. Darja
DeleteDarja, before replying, I really am Danish, born in Denmark, live in Denmark. I was also Danish, when Mary became Queen in January, and her new title was discussed. So, I find it hilarious to be lectured by an English-speaking woman, who clearly doesn't have a clue.
DeleteTo your question: Yes, she is fluent, but with a distinct soft English accent.
Amy
Dear Amy, thank you for your answer. I believe you, you don't have anything to prove to me. Don't bother with this person who knows everthing best, it's a waste of time. Some people feed on attention. But it's good that you pushed back. You go girl! Hej hej, Darja
DeleteDear Amy and Darja
DeleteThat woman does it with everyone. She thinks she is the smartest, the most intelligent, the most beautiful, etc...you name it. She did it with me too. How she is getting away with it on this blog, I don't understand. She is really insulting people. What I read on 3/4 at 20:56 made me feel a shamed in her place. Or she is a vicious person or she is insane. Since she is allowed to act like that on this blog, the best thing to do is to ignore her. When everybody starts to do that it might stop. But apparently she has friends among the other bloggers who have always kind words for her. Again, I do not understand this.
Your are right Darja when you say it is a waste of time.
Anon 18:37 I agree with almost everything. If this person is real, insane would be most accurate. If, and that's a big if for me. I believe this character was created to make the comment-section more "interesting", so to speak. Comments are sometimes a bit slow, let's stir the pot and people will come and watch the fight. My opinion. Now, if this person is real, I generally agree with you that it is best to ignore her. Then I remembered a quote by Edmund Burke "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men (or women) to do nothing." Dear Anon, thank you for your sensible and well thought-out comment, best wishes to you. Darja
DeleteLovely as always!
